What is the password of pan card?
Many people are having this problem. It is very simple actually. The password for opening the e-PAN card PDF file is your date of birth. You have to put your full birth date in DDMMYYYY format.
For example, if your birth date is 05 June 1992, then you must type 05061992 to open the file. Don't put any space or any slash (/) between the numbers. Just the eight numbers together.
This password is for the e-PAN which you download online from the NSDL or UTIITSL website. Your physical plastic PAN card does not have any password. This is a common confusion. I hope this is helping you.
The password for opening an e-PAN card PDF is usually a combination of your date of birth in the format DDMMYYYY. For example, if your DOB is 15th August 1990, the password would be 15081990.
In some cases, especially for older PAN downloads, the password can also be your first name in uppercase plus your date of birth. But most modern e-PAN PDFs follow the DDMMYYYY pattern, which is easier to remember.
I’ve downloaded my e-PAN multiple times from the NSDL portal, and the password has always been the date of birth linked with Aadhaar/PAN records. If it doesn’t work, double-check the date you registered during application.
For those who have updated PAN details recently, the password is not your PAN number itself, but the DOB. A common mistake people make is typing the wrong format like DD-MM-YYYY. Remember: there are no dashes, only numbers together.
