What is wpqr?

A WPQR is a company-specific qualification that proves that the holding company possesses the technical welding knowledge necessary to perform metal joining work. A record of welding variables used to produce an acceptable test weldment and the results of tests con-ducted on the weldment to qualify a welding procedure specification. The same standard defines a Welding Procedure Qualification Record (WPQR) as "Record comprising all necessary data needed for qualification of a preliminary welding procedure specification". ECE Global will issue a report (Welding Procedure Qualification Record (WPQR)) , to document the conditions during the welding process, as well as to summarize. The WPQR combines all of the information of the WPS and adds the test results to provide a complete document that certifies the welding specification. A WPS is supported by a Procedure Qualification Record (PQR or WPQR).
