A random process is called weak-sense stationary or wide-sense stationary (WSS) if its mean function and its correlation function do not change by shifts in time. Such a random process is said to be stationary in the wide sense or wide sense stationary (WSS). WSS random processes only require that 1st moment (i. (ti − tj ), then the process is said to be wide-sense stationary (WSS).
