Both 이에요[ieyo] and 예요[yeyo] are used like the English verb "to be. imnida 입니다 = "it is" (declarative) is a statement and would normally be used when answering questions or stating a fact. 'iyeyo' comes from the Korean verb 이다 which means to be. Yeyo and Iyeyo are both ways to say "it is" In Korean. 이에요 “ieyo”, 예요 “yeyo”, 있어요 “isseoyo” and 있어 “isseo” all mean. So we talked a lot of about "iyeyo" and "yeyo" before.
