a ball bowled so that it pitches immediately under the bat. In cricket, a yorker is a ball bowled which hits the cricket pitch around the batsman's feet. In cricket, a yorker is a ball bowled (a delivery) which hits the cricket pitch around the batsman's feet. A yorker is a full-length delivery which is pitched in front of a batsman's feet by a bowler; not necessarily by a fast bowler. Then suddenly he realised that the thing was going to be a yorker, and banged his bat down in the block just as the ball arrived. Yorker is a delivery that lands on the pitch at the popping crease which makes it difficult for the batsman to defend it with a normal batting stance [ called Bixing].
