What role does compromise play in a successful partnership?

In my experience, compromise saved my relationship many times. Simple things like choosing movies or deciding where to eat – if one person always insists, the other feels invisible. Small compromises make the bigger challenges easier to solve later.

Compromise is like a bridge. Without it, partners stand on opposite sides forever. It does not mean losing yourself, but adjusting so both can walk together.
