What time do georgia decisions come out?

UGA releases decisions late afternoon on Fridays, and we will release decisions every Friday after the initial transfer decision date. Fall Transfers – Generally, the review process begins in mid-February and goes through the beginning of May, starting with the files that were completed first and working from there.

It is moderately difficult to get into UGA. Last year, 15,689 students applied to UGA and 15,689 were admitted.

Retention refers to the number of students that stay enrolled at a school over time. It gauges how satisfied students are with their school experience, and if they have the support necessary to succeed in college.

Approximately 95% of first-year, full-time undergrads who start at UGAare still enrolled their sophomore year. Around 88% of students who started at UGA earn their Bachelor's degrees within six years. The average six-year graduation rate for U.S. colleges and universities is 61% for public schools, and 67% for private, non-profit schools.

Job placement stats are a good resource for understanding the value of a degree from UGA by providing a look on how job placement has gone for other grads. 63% of graduates from UGA recieve at least one full-time job offer within six months of graduating.

The average starting salary for recent UGA grads is $52,800 a year. Average starting salaries vary by discipline, but the average starting salary for all 2021 graduates was around $60,000 a year.

An endowment is the total value of a school's investments, donations, and assets. Endowment is not necessarily an indicator of the quality of a school, but it can give you a sense of how much money a college can afford to invest in expanding programs, improving facilities, and support students.

UGA's endowment was valued at $1.8 billion in 2022, compared to a national average of $905 million. The school spends $8,518 for each full-time student enrolled.

Tuition cost is another important factor when choose a college. Some colleges may have high tuition, but do a better job at meeting students' financial need.

UGA meets 74% of the demonstrated financial need for undergraduates. The average financial aid package for a full-time, first-year student is around $14,049 a year.

Graduates in the class of 2022 had an average of $21,689 in student loans per borrower. For context, compare this number with the average national debt, which is around $36,000 per borrower.

You should never have to pay to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), so don't give your money (or info!) to any website that claims you do.

UGA is locatedin the town of Athens, Georgia, near the city of Atlanta.

If you would like to see UGA for yourself, be sure to plan a visit! The best way to reach campus is to take Interstate 85 to Athens, or book a flight to the nearest airport, Athens Ben Epps.

First-year students will apply to Georgia Tech using the Common Application. You may start an application at any time during your high school career, and we will begin accepting application submissions on August 1 prior to your senior year.

We admit students for both the Summer and Fall Academic Terms, and ALL applicants will be considered for both terms.

Please note: All deadlines are 11:59 p.m. in your time zone (for example, a student who lives in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, must submit their application by 11:59 p.m. ET).

Students with incomplete Early Action files may complete their application and be considered for admission in Regular Decision. Students who do not complete their file by the document and self-reported test score deadline for Regular Decision will have their application closed.

An Early Action application to Georgia Tech is non-binding, and the application and evaluation is the same as for Regular Decision.

Students who wish to be considered for academic scholarships, such as the Stamps President's Scholars Program, Scheller Dean's Scholarship and others, must apply by the appropriate Early Action deadline (depending on Georgia status). No separate scholarship application is required.

This is the last date to apply for first-year admission for the following summer/fall term. The application and evaluation is the same as for Early Action.

Transcripts must be submitted electronically or postmarked no later than the date listed in the table above for the round you have applied. Students who have taken dual enrollment courses should ensure those courses are listed on their high school transcript or request the college attended to send your transcript to us directly. Students who are admitted and enroll will be required to submit an official transcript directly from the college to be considered for any transfer credit.

SAT/ACT scores may be self-reported on your application or via your applicant portal. They may also be submitted officially from the testing agency. We do not recommend paying the expedited rush fee to meet the test score deadline since you can self-report scores through your admission portal. Click here for more information on test scores.
