Where is krishna river located?
I grew up near Vijayawada, and the Krishna River passes right through there. The Prakasam Barrage on the river is one of the major landmarks in Andhra Pradesh.
Location-wise, the Krishna flows through Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh. Its delta is very fertile and is considered the “rice bowl of Andhra Pradesh.”
The Krishna River flows in the southern part of India. It originates from the Western Ghats near Mahabaleshwar in Maharashtra and flows eastward across Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh before emptying into the Bay of Bengal.
The Krishna River is about 1,400 kilometers long, making it one of the longest rivers in India. Its basin supports millions of people through irrigation and drinking water.
