Obby Creator is a game created by the group Whirlpool Studio. As the name suggests, this game allows players to create their own obbies and play ones created by other players.

In every server you play, 14 gates are available to be claimed. Touching that gate will cause it to turn transparent and opens the Load Obby GUI. You will be greeted with five obby slots, new slots being able to be bought with 100 Robux or 40 Gems. There are sections for your slots, discovering obbies by name or ID, your liked obbies, and recently played obbies. In the My Obbies section, obbies in any slot can be loaded and renamed. The load option will load the obby along with the cash you had for that, with a cooldown of 30 seconds. When starting a new obby from scratch, 5,000 cash is given to you. (Or 10k cash for X2 cash Gamepass)

Cash is the main currency, spent based on the size of Parts added into obbies, with every cubic stud of size accounting for $1. Every minute, you will be rewarded 500 cash, allowing for work on building to continue. Cash can also be bought: 5,000 for 10 Robux, 20,000 for 40, 40,000 for 80, 100,000 for 200, 200,000 for 400, and 400,000 for 800.

If a player enjoys another player's obby, they can like it by pressing the green button with a thumbs up in front of their obby. If a player has enough likes, their obby could appear on Weekly Top Rated Board and the Top Rated Board.

If an obby is inappropriate or purposely making the server lag, a player can report the obby by pressing the red button with a flag in front of their obby. Alternatively, when you enter someone's or your obby, a red flag beside the settings GUI will appear. When you click it, it leads you to the same thing as from the report button beside the gate.

In the Add Part GUI, 7 sections appear where the type of object to be added is chosen: Advanced Parts, Basic Parts, Moving Parts, Cart Rides, Special, PreMade, and My PreMades. Advanced Parts contain many scripted objects; Basic Parts is divided into "Simple" or "Custom" parts, essentially being Parts of various shapes. Moving Parts contains, as the name suggests, advanced or basic parts that spin, move to chosen destinations, or are unanchored. Cart Rides are a group of PreMades with an emphasis on Cart Ride game-like objects. Special contains Character Models, which can load any Roblox user, and Mannequins, which are used in selling classic clothing. PreMade contains many sections: "Obstacles", "Decoration", "Hardcore", and "Other", with each entry being a collection of parts. My PreMades, on the other hand, works like a personal Toolbox, allowing for a player to make up to 6 PreMades, that limit expanding to 30 if they pay 25 Robux. Premium users also get their part limit extended by 100.

This will help you if you are having trouble, struggling, or thinking about something, Team Create is a way that allows not only yourself to build but multiple people also. This is a risky feature because there can be trolling around any type of community regardless of who regardless. However, if that specific person has granted access, but does not claim an obby. It will not work because that player requires to claim an obby first before doing so.

If you are not happy with people deleting your obbies in Team Create, you are able revert your obbies back in time! Reverting an obby also reverts the cash balance of how much it was at that time.

This was a new Obby creator update on 4th March 2023 (This may be inaccurate) The way you can get an obby link is from the left of the obby name or in the load screen, it should be located on the left the of rename button. You can Copy (??) Links using copy and paste, you can use the link on YouTube if you have verified your phone number.

The playerbase has a bad reputation for having tons of Undertale fights/AUs/showcases that could have easily been made in Roblox Studio,⁠ which is probably why Undertale fans stick to this game to create, because they figure it's much easier to use than Roblox Studio (when yet, Roblox Studio allows scripting to do many things that Obby Creator can't). There are even YouTube channels on the game dedicated to making Undertale-related things in the game only. These types of creations are also overrated or so, overshadowing the better creations, obby or not.

The game also has generic obbies, which are a few pre-made assets slapped together.

People also complain about the limited amount of part limit that you can place down in your own obby, and how many features seem pay-to-win. It is hard for players without Robux to make a good obby. A reason that is commonly argued is that this was made to prevent lag.
