Why gatt was replaced by wto?

GATT was a bit old and weak, I reckon. It was just an agreement and mostly for goods. The world needed a proper organisation to also handle trade in services and ideas. The WTO is that organisation. It has stronger rules and a better system for sorting out fights between countries.
