Why meta fired employees?

Basically, there were a few big reasons. Meta hired too many people very fast during the pandemic. Now, the economy is slow, so their advertising income is less. Mark Zuckerberg called it the 'year of efficiency'. So they are cutting costs to be more efficient. They are also removing some job roles and changing teams to focus more on important things like AI. It is a big company restructuring for them.
