Why round to hell arrested?

FIR lodged against creators of YouTube channel 'round2hell' for hurting religious sentiments. The video, that has since been removed from the channel, sees the YouTubers mocking Hindu Goddess Radha.

Zayn, Nazim and Wasim were all were born in Pakwara, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh.

The three of them have been friends since their college lives. Zayn had studied the most, after which, he dropped out from Zakir Hussain College. Wasim and Nazim completed their schooling up to 12th standard, from Alam College and Modern Public School respectively.

According to them, the name of the channel was chosen randomly by them, but still seemed to be a well-thought one. However, they have also disclosed the original source of the name of the channel. The day before the channel was created, Zayn was at his course performing car-drifting. He performed several drifts, which were filmed and later posted to his Instagram. He was watching the videos when a thought struck him- "What would have happened if I were to lose control during the round drifts?".

He got the answer to himself, "Dude, if I lost the control, then I would surely lose my arm or leg and turn my life into hell." He thought that 'the drift was not "drift" but a "round to hell"' and the channel was then named "Round2hell".

The channel initially started for posting football game montages. It got about 120 views, which disappointed them. So, they decided to upload a "Part 2" of the video; and that was a bit popular, minorly popularising the channel. The first earnings after the monetisation of the channel were donated on charity and foundations for the poor. Their parents were not too supportive of them during the beginning, but they slowly gained a decent faith in them. In the beginning, while nobody backed them, their friend Alam Saifi was the one who encouraged them on the channel.

Shortly after their 15th video, which was based on the event of March 31, 2017, when the Indian telecom service Jio was speculated to be shut down, went viral, they started gaining popularity.

Round2hell uploaded a video titled "TikTok vs. YouTube | The Virus," referencing CarryMinati's viral trend "TikTok vs YouTube". However, the video was taken down due to an alleged copyright strike by Carry. This gave rise to a debate, and they uploaded another video apologizing for the misconception, as it was because either YouTube or TikTok who took the video down. The reason for the takedown has not yet been disclosed.

On August 19, 2022, Wasim was arrested by Moradabad police over allegations of ridiculing Radha, a Hindu goddess, in a video from 2018, which has since been taken down.[1] The video showed Wasim mispronouncing her name in a sentence-translation example in class.[2][3]

Twitter user Shivam Dixit tweeted, accusing the channel of hurting religious sentiments[4] to which Moradabad police responded by informing that relevant authorities had been informed.[5] Wasim apologized on Instagram about the remarks, but was arrested the next day.

A thread about the incident went viral on the subreddit r/india, and fans soon commented on irrational decisions taken by legal authorities.[6] He was granted bail on September 2.[7]
