In Austin Texas, the city council has cut our police force in half and dibanded the traffic and enforcement units. Our speed limits aren't very important now. It's time to pedal to the metal.

The US answer is yes.You are passing a slower moving vehicle at a slower speed. You try to pass by punching it up.You are dead, you're dead!

That extra speed? It enables you to accelerate quickly, get past the obstacle quickly, and safely re-enter your traffic lane!

I would like to inform you of this.Speed Governors are part of US highway operations. Some semi-trailers are limited to 62mph in order to save on fuel expenses.

It's the same reason that kitchen knives are long enough to stab someone, or that target pistols are powerful enough to kill, or that you can buy acid, bleach, poison and may other dangerous things in stores. You can buy dangerous things.

It is not the responsibility of manufacturers to police how we misuse their goods.

Because there is freedom. If you want a Toyota corolla to hit 140 mph, you'll either need a lot of road or a lot of money. It's probably a good daily driver for a 17 year old girl, but it's not a good platform to mod to go fast.

They can still enforce the speed limit and you can't outrun them most of the time.
