How do you build trust after a friend betrays you?

Trust after betrayal is very hard. First, I give space. Then I observe if their actions match their words. Trust cannot come back in one day; it must grow slowly with time and consistency.

If you still want the friendship, set clear boundaries. For example, if they lied, ask for more transparency. Small honest actions over weeks or months can rebuild trust. But if betrayal repeats, maybe it is not worth saving.
