How important is social media for affiliate marketing?

For me, social media has been the main driver of sales. Instagram reels + affiliate links in bio worked wonders. I don’t even use a blog. So it depends on your strategy.

Social media is very important because it brings fast traffic. A viral post can get you thousands of clicks in a day. But it is not stable, unlike SEO. I’d say use social media for quick traffic and SEO for long-term stability.

I think social media is overhyped in affiliate marketing. Yes, you can get followers, but conversions are often low. Blogs and email lists are much more stable. I use social media mainly for brand awareness, not for direct affiliate sales.
