How to delete cfnc account?
- Click “Log In” top right of any screen in CFNC.org.
- Click “Forgot your username or password?”
- Follow prompts to reset password.

00:50an account with cfnc and the reason why
00:52this website is incredibly important is
00:55that this is where you can apply to
00:56community colleges and colleges and in
01:00october october 18th through 22nd you
01:03can apply to those colleges most of the
01:06schools in north carolina at least for
01:07free and that's totally free so this
01:10website is really crucial because once
01:12we set up an account you can literally
01:15apply to any school that you really
01:17really want to go to in north carolina
01:19and um do that for free during that
01:21october week okay october 18th through
01:2322nd so i'm coming into this
01:26enrichment workshop to help you guys set
01:28up the account today and the other
01:30reason why this website is so important
01:32is you can do a lot of cool career
01:34inventories and like assessments to help
01:37figure out exactly what you want to do
01:38going forward the other part about this
01:41website that's super crucial is the
01:43login that you have for this is going to
01:46be used for this residency form that we
01:48have to complete in order to go to
01:50community college and college and that
01:52residency forum is called the rds so
01:55you're going to see some information
01:57from me about the residency
01:58determination the rds we're going to
02:00have an rds night to help you complete

02:03but that is something that you will
02:05access through your cfnc login so this
02:08website's really important and i'd like
02:10to go ahead and get us started on the
02:12login process some of you again most
02:15likely have already made a cfnc account
02:18and it's very crucial for us to get
02:20access to that original account
02:23otherwise your residency form will get
02:26messed up so we can't uh
02:29make a new account today unless there
02:31are some extreme circumstances we do
02:34have to try and locate your original
02:35account
02:36so what we're going to do
02:38to do that is follow some instructions
02:40from me
02:41so i've shared this with your teacher
02:44and your teacher should have shared this
02:45with you this is kind of a rundown
02:49of cfnc and how to access your account
02:51we've already briefly mentioned
02:53information about cfnc
02:56and also about why we need that account
02:58remember those free applications for
03:01some schools that can happen through
03:02cfnc so we need this account but here
03:05are some instructions for how to
03:07actually make your account i will run
03:09through these
03:11this information so that you can watch
03:13it and do it with me
03:15but if you're having issues please feel
03:17free to send me an email or you can also
03:20call cfnc directly and help get help
03:23from them to fix your account but it is
03:25really important that we access your
03:27account and not create a new login today
03:30if you again are having a lot of
03:32significant troubles um please reach out
03:34to me at the end of this class and we'll
03:36get you figured out okay
03:38so
03:39let's go to cfnc and get you logged in
03:41so to do that we're going to go up to
03:43the right corner and we're going to
03:45press login
03:48and as you can see i already have an
03:50account so it's pre-populated it for me
03:52but let's pretend that we do not have an
03:54account which it feels like we don't
03:56right a lot of us might not think that
03:58we have a cfnc account although i'm
04:00pretty confident many of you do so what
04:03we're going to do today is try and
04:04figure out what our login information
04:06could be
04:07so
04:09let's start first by trying a couple
04:11usernames and passwords so your username
04:14you can try
04:15i don't know your lunch number or maybe
04:18some username that you typically use um
04:21i don't know what that might be but you
04:23can put that in and then try a couple
04:25passwords i would recommend trying two
04:28to three different passwords and
04:30usernames just to see if we can get you
04:33signed in
04:34once you try to sign in using the
04:36username and password
04:37if you're getting this login
04:40attempt is invalid that means that
04:43that's the wrong username and password
04:45try a couple more times
04:47a couple other things
04:50and you can be doing this along with me
04:52just to see if we can get you guys
04:54logged in without having to go in any
04:57other
04:58uh directions like having to forget your
05:00password and stuff
05:03so for me this is not working and i have
05:05a feeling some of you are in the same
05:06boat so what we're gonna do
05:08is come down here and press the username
05:11the forgot username button and the
05:13reason for that is we need to access
05:14your username we don't want to make a
05:16new account because you most likely
05:18already have one okay so press actually
05:21the whole word username just that word
05:24and it will take you to a sign in help
05:27page
05:28this is where you can enter in your
05:29login information that you will end up
05:32using your email address that you're
05:34going to enter
05:35truly needs to be your student email try
05:38your student email first so we're gonna
05:40try that okay
05:42enter in your name
05:43first and last
05:45and then enter in
05:47your very long student email
05:50take a second to do that
05:53once you enter in your information
05:55you're going to go ahead and press the
05:57recover username button
06:03so here i got a an error message it said
06:06unable to recover my username so that
06:09means that my account was not found
06:12um that means that i do not have an
06:14account associated with my email but let
06:16me double check did i enter this
06:18correctly
06:19do you guys see it i didn't
06:21so let me double check my email your
06:24email has to be 100 correct for them to
06:26check if your email is connected to a
06:28cfnc account already so now i'm going to
06:31try it and recover my username
06:34here we go so i do actually have an
06:36account because it linked to my student
06:38email i do have a previous account i'm
06:41going to type in a couple
06:43potentials for my high school mascot and
06:46try and get my username you might have
06:47to add an s you might have to take off
06:49an s
06:50um go ahead and don't worry too much
06:52about the capital letters but see if you
06:54can get your username if you are not
06:56able to get your username please contact
06:59miss lester myself send me an email and
07:02i will send you a reset button link
07:04if this is working and you're able to
07:06get in go in reset your password and get
07:10your password information and then write
07:12your login information down there are
07:15more instructions on what to do next
07:17after you're logged in down on the
07:19google doc that you have
07:21but let's just say that i don't know my
07:23username
07:25uh or excuse me let's just see if i can
07:27try this another way let's say that my
07:29student email is completely not working
07:32i've tried it and it's saying that
07:34that's an invalid
07:36email address let me try another email
07:39a personal email and let's just see if i
07:41have an account through that so let's
07:43press recovery username for that as well
07:46but oh no this one is also saying i'm
07:48unable to recover my username which
07:50means both my student email and my
07:52personal don't have access to this
07:54to cfnc i've never made an account
07:56before if this is happening to you and
07:59you've double checked your email and all
08:01the information you've input
08:04then this is when we're going to make
08:05you a new account however i'm going to
08:07strongly encourage you to reach out to
08:09me if this is happening because i might
08:11be able to help you see if you have an
08:13account through my own portal most
08:15likely if your student email is not
08:17popping up and letting you access your
08:18username you don't have an account but
08:21go ahead and double check with me or go
08:23ahead and make your
08:24account i would recommend checking with
08:26me first but i understand i might not be
08:29around with you guys
08:31but miss rollins should be around to
08:33also assist you
08:35so
08:36once you have been able to recover your
08:39username
08:40maybe even figured out a new password
08:43i'm going to encourage you to write that
08:45information down put on a piece of paper
08:47maybe create a notes tab in your phone
08:50where you can start writing all your
08:51college login information down
08:53put it in a safe place because you are
08:55going to need your cfnc login
08:57multiple times through the college
08:59community college process right we need
09:00it for applications and we need it for
09:02the residency forum
09:04so go ahead and figure out
09:07the process for your own login if you
09:09are having any issues please send me an
09:11email or talk to your teacher
09:13mrs rollins will also be available kind
09:15of roaming around as will i
09:18and we will try and help you correct
09:20your account and get you access to your
09:21cfnc account
09:23now
09:24once you have completed this these steps
09:26you're going to go ahead and scroll on
09:29down and then follow the login
09:31information after logging into your cfnc
09:33account section
09:35one thing i want to mention
09:36is that you do need to update your
09:38profile as soon as you've logged in
09:40that's you have to do that um so as soon
09:42as you get into your account you're
09:43going to go up here
09:46let's just say that i
09:48i'm going to log in
09:52and
09:53i will show you where you can update
09:54your profile
10:02so you will go all the way up here
10:05and hit the little person and select my
10:07profile and this is where you're going
10:09to go
10:10to enter in any other information about
10:12yourself that you need so that's going
10:15to include information about your first
10:17and last name
10:18go ahead and enter your student id
10:20number that is your lunch number
10:22and also
10:23go ahead and come down to another
10:26section below it's called school
10:28connections you have to put person high
10:32school as your school connection if you
10:34see any other school on there you've got
10:36to change it and delete the other school
10:38and make sure person high school is
10:39listed there it will mess up things if
10:42person high school is not listed so make
10:43sure to do that
10:45but once you are done getting access to
10:47your account logging in and fixing your
10:49profile
10:50go ahead and come back to this section
10:52and then go ahead and follow through
10:54this next step the finding your college
10:56or community college that best fits you
10:58if college and community college is your
10:59pathway and i think all of you guys
11:01should just check it out and see um you
11:03can follow those instructions on how to
11:05find schools and also complete this
11:07handy-dandy little google form and
11:09you'll be entered into a raffle once you
11:11answer some of the questions
11:12um you'll also have a job assessment
11:15that you can locate on cfnc it'll link
11:17you to this other website called nc
11:19careers and it's a super cool website
11:22and it will help you figure out what you
11:23want to do with your life
11:25and then also your transcripts are
11:27things you can send through cfnc as well
11:29as you're applying to schools you will
11:31have to submit transcripts and there's a
11:32handy video right there for you to to
11:35watch to get instructions on how to do
11:36that
11:37continue to read this section um and
11:40just understand that i am here i miss
