Indic Phonetic keyboards are different from Indic script keyboards as they are based on natural pronunciation. For example, if you type "namaste" using the phonetic keyboard, it will automatically suggest it in Hindi/Punjabi/Gujarati.

Now, see how to install and start using the Hindi phonetic keyboard in MS word.

To add Indian phonetic keyboards:

Step 1: Go to 'time & language' in settings.

Step 2: Then, select the 'language' from the navigation menu.

Step 3: Now, click on the '+ icon'.

Step 4: Type the language name 'Hindi' in the search bar and add the preferred Indic language (by selecting into the search box and select it).

Step 5: Click on the 'next' button.

Step 6: Tap on 'install' the Indic language on the device, which will then return to the language page.

Step 7: Now, go to the language page.

Step 8: Select the language and then click the options button to go to the language options page.

Step 9: Click on the '+ icon' to add the keyboard and then choose the type of keyboard.

Step 10: Then, enable the phonetic keyboard by clicking on the input indicator on the taskbar (or press the 'Windows key + Space') and select the Indic Phonetic keyboard.
