How to permanently mute someone on google meet?

Yeah, nah, you can't really permanently mute someone in the way you're thinking. It's a bit of a pain, I know.

So, when you are the host of the meeting, you can mute another person. You just have to find their little picture on the screen. Click on the three little dots next to their name. A menu will pop up, and you can choose 'Mute'. Easy as.

But here's the thing. They can just unmute themselves again straight away. Google did this for privacy reasons, so you can't force someone to be silent. It stops people from being rude, I reckon.

If you really need someone to be quiet for good, the only option is to remove them from the meeting. It's a bit full on, but it's the only way. You do the same thing. Find their name, click the three dots, but instead of 'Mute', you click 'Remove from meeting'. They won't be able to join back in unless you invite them again.

Hope that helps you out, mate.

Ah, you cannot permanently mute someone, I'm afraid. This is a design choice by Google. When you mute a participant, they can always unmute themselves again. It can be quite frustrating, I know. If someone is truly being disruptive, your only option is to remove them from the call. That is the only permanent solution.

Sorry mate, you can't mute another person forever in Google Meet. Only the meeting host can mute people. And it only works for that meeting. If you are the host, look for the People list. Click on the person's name. Then press the 'Mute' button. But if you meet again later, you must mute them again. There is no setting to do it permanently. The host controls it each time. Hope this helps you out.
