Should couples have shared financial accounts or keep them separate?

I prefer shared account. It makes transparency easy, no suspicion. But both need to be disciplined, otherwise fights about money can increase.

This depends on comfort. Some like one account for all, others keep separate and just share expenses. I think a mix is good – one joint for bills, and separate for personal freedom.
