Having seen the test mules in person, the ground clearance looks substantial - I'd estimate 190-200 mm based on visual comparison with known vehicles. The important thing with EVs is that the ground clearance is consistent throughout the underbody since there's no transmission tunnel or exhaust system hanging down. The battery pack is flat and protected, so you get clean, consistent clearance. This is actually one advantage over ICE SUVs where the lowest point might be an unexpected component. The Curvv should handle flooded roads during monsoons better than most vehicles in its class.

From a value perspective, the Curvv EV needs to be priced right to be "worth it." If it comes in at ₹22-25 lakh ex-showroom as expected, it needs to clearly justify the premium over the excellent Nexon EV (₹17-20 lakh) and the capable XUV400 (₹16-19 lakh). The extended range is the main justification - if you regularly drive long distances, that 500 km range could be a game-changer. The premium interior and latest tech are nice, but whether they're worth the extra ₹5 lakh over a Nexon EV depends on your budget and priorities. For city use with occasional highways, the Nexon EV might remain the better value. For frequent travelers, the Currrv could justify its price.

According to industry reports and supplier information, Tata Motors is initially planning to produce 3,000-4,000 units of the Curvv EV per month. This capacity might be ramped up based on demand, but initial production will likely be constrained by battery supply and production line setup. They're apparently being cautious after the huge demand for Nexon EV caught them by surprise. The production will happen at their Pune plant alongside the Nexon EV, so they have flexibility to adjust volumes between models based on market response.
