It is a question of profound compassion, you see. Edla looked beyond the peddler's deception. She saw a frightened human being who had known nothing but rejection. For her, it became a matter of principle. She had promised him a day of peace and Christmas cheer. To turn him out into the cold after making such a promise felt deeply wrong. More than this, she believed that treating him with dignity, as if he were a real captain, could awaken the goodness trapped within him. It was a beautiful act of faith in his hidden humanity.

From what I read, it was about her lover, Saleem. Her family was dead against them getting married. I reckon it's 'cause they were from different backgrounds. They saw her family as a big obstacle to their relationship. So they killed everyone just to be together. It seems they also wanted the family property. It’s such a shocking and horrible story, really. What a terrible thing to do to your own mob.

That's a great question. Classification is super useful, and it really comes down to creating order.
First, it simplifies the study of a vast number of things. Imagine trying to learn about every single animal without grouping them first! It would be total chaos.
Second, it gives us a clear framework for identification. When we find a new organism, we can use its characteristics to figure out exactly where it fits in.
Third, it reveals how different groups are related to one another, almost like a big family tree. This is key for understanding concepts like evolution.
Finally, it allows us to make predictions. If we know an animal belongs to the mammal class, we can predict it has fur and produces milk, for sure.

So, the biggest reason is the avocado isn't ripe yet. When they are hard, they have more of some natural stuff that tastes bitter. As it gets soft and ripe, that bitter taste goes away and it gets creamy and yummy. That's why you have to wait for them to be a little soft.
Another thing is the part right next to the dark skin. That part can be bitter too. Same for the part close to the big seed. So I try not to scrape the skin too much when I scoop it out. And if you cook avocado, don't make it too hot. High heat can also make it taste bad. Hope that helps
