On Windows, the simplest way is:
- Press Alt + 8377 on the numeric keypad (make sure Num Lock is on). That inserts ₹ anywhere.
- Alternatively, on Windows 10/11, press Win + . (period) to open the emoji panel, and you’ll find ₹ under the currency section.
No need to change keyboard language unless you want ₹ directly on a key.
