It's similar in concept but different in execution and meaning. In the first game, "the Ghost" was a title born of fear and a rejection of samurai honor. For Atsu, "Onryō" (which translates to "Vengeful Spirit") is a title that is more directly tied to the game's supernatural themes. He is not just a man using underhanded tactics; he is literally channeling the wrath of the mountain's wronged and corrupted spirits. The title is less about him being stealthy and more about him being an avatar of supernatural vengeance. The enemies don't just fear a man; they fear the literal wrath of nature they have awoken.

I'm a completionist, so I used a combination of merchant maps and just pure, thorough exploration. The northern region of Ezo-fu has some of the most beautifully hidden hot springs, often located in icy caves where the contrast between the cold and the steam is just stunning. Don't forget that resting at a Hot Springs also fully restores your health and resolves, so they're not just for permanent upgrades—they're useful safe houses out in the wild. The PowerPyx interactive map is a great resource if you're stuck on the last few.

The weapon variety is a huge step up! Here are the new additions beyond the trusty katana: Odachi: This is a massive, two-handed greatsword. It's slow but deals tremendous damage and can break an enemy's guard in just a few hits. It's perfect for taking down heavily armored foes and has a unique, powerful stance. Kusarigama: This is a sickle attached to a chain with a weight. It's a medium-range weapon that excels at crowd control. You can use it to trip enemies, pull shields out of their hands, and attack multiple foes at once with wide, sweeping attacks. Blowgun:* A returning favorite, but with new types of darts. Alongside sleep and hallucination darts, there are now darts that can enrage enemies, causing them to attack their allies, and darts that corrupt an enemy's spirit, making them vulnerable to your Kami Techniques. Each weapon has its own deep skill tree, making it worthwhile to specialize in one or two that fit your style.

I'm a big fan of the Traveler's Attire making a return. It's the best set for exploration, as it reveals more of the map and makes your controller vibrate when near collectibles. I also love the variety in the "heavy" armor category. There's the classic O-Yoroi for pure tanking, but also the Oni Armor which trades some defense for a perk that occasionally causes your attacks to terrify surrounding enemies. There's really a set for every possible playstyle.
