Boundaries mean respecting both yourself and the other person. To set them: - Be clear about what is comfortable for you. - Communicate early, not after resentment builds. - Respect the other’s boundaries too. For example, if you need alone time, explain it kindly so they don’t misinterpret.

When I was in a long-distance relationship, we agreed to never go to sleep upset. If there was a fight or confusion, we would talk until both felt calm. Sometimes it was tiring, but it helped us not to carry bitterness into the next day. My advice: set ground rules for resolving conflicts early.
