What is the role of Goddess Skandamata worship on the fifth day of Navratri 2025?

Goddess Skandamata is the fifth form of Maa Durga, and she is worshipped on the fifth day of Navratri. She is known as the mother of Lord Kartikeya (Skanda). By worshipping her, devotees receive blessings of motherly love, wisdom, and prosperity. She is shown carrying her son on her lap, symbolizing protection and nurturing. It is said that her puja opens the path of salvation for devotees.

In my family, this day is very special. We decorate the puja area with white flowers because they are considered dear to Skandamata. Also, we offer bananas as prasad, since it is believed to please her. Worshipping her is said to remove all kinds of sufferings.
