When kalki avatar will born?
South Indian astrologers have analyzed Puranas extensively to try and foretell the time of birth of Kalki. The signs described in the Kalki Purana are as follows:
The moon will be in Dhanishtha nakshatra, Aquarius, suggesting he will be wealthy, acclaimed and swift in action and thought.
The sun will be in Swati, the nakshatra of the sword.
Jupiter will be in Purva Ashadha nakshatra, Sagittarius.
The Ascendant Lord will be in Purva Ashadha nakshatra, also Sagittarius, suggesting invincibility and early victory.
Saturn will be exalted in Libra, predicting a balance between justice and the sword.
Ketu, lord of horse-headed Ashwini, will be exalted in Scorpio, suggesting he will descend atop a great white steed.
His arrival is stipulated at a time when the earth is engulfed in crisis because of a tyrannical and powerful ruler. Kalki Bhagwan is said to be mounted on a strikingly beautiful White Horse, and is most often picturised in the foreground of a dark sky. This symbolises his coming at a time when darkness (evil) is the order of the day, and he is the saviour to rid the world of its sufferings. This is similar to the Parashuram avatar, where Lord Vishnu killed the atrocious Kshatriya rulers.
The Kalki Avatar is the most eagerly awaited one, more so because it will signify the cleansing of the world from all its sorrows that have been accumulated for many millennia. He is to arrive at the end of Kalyug, the dark age, and will mark the beginning of the Sat Yug. According to calculations, there are still many years left for that to happen (The Kalyug extends for a period of 432000 years, and it has just started - 5000 years ago). When we have such advanced military technology today, it will be interesting to see (though we may not, unless we do not manage to attain salvation by then, and are still caught in the rebirth cycle) what kind of weapons Kalki Avatar utilises.
It is also said that Kalki avtar will come, when all the three rivers Saraswati, Yamuna and Ganga return to heavens ( dried).
The earliest reference to the Kalki Avatar is found in the India's great epic, the Mahabharat. Rishi Markandeya tells Yudhishtir, the seniormost Pandava, that Kalki will be born to Brahmin parents. He would excel in academics, sports and warfare, and thus become a very intelligent and powerful young man.
Kalki Puranam tells that he will stay for some time in Simhala Dwipa (Sri Lanka) and then return to India. Very minute details about his wife and children are mentioned. There are portions which have a literal connotation and there are also portions which have a symbolic connotation. The symbolic method was given by God so that the false ones who claim themselves as God will get caught when they try to fit themselves into his role. This method was reserved for another purpose also. It was done to prevent the Vedas from being destroyed by the atheists. Kalki Puranam also tells about all the deeds that Kalki Maha Avatar will accomplish. They tell us how he will confront 'Kali Purushan' directly and annihilate him. They also tell how he will ascend to heaven after his divine purpose is accomplished.
It also mentions that he will be born in Sambala Gramam. So Sambala Gramam must be near Tamirabarani according to these texts and not in North India as is popularly believed.
Bhagawatham, Canto II, Chapter 5: Text 39-40 as follows: "Very few people are found to follow and worship Narayana in Kali-Yuga. Simple and insignificant people are found worshipping Lord Narayana in "DRAVIDA-DESHAM" (TAMIL NADU) in a place where River TAMIRAPARNEE will be flowing (TIRUNELVELI)".
This is a very clear cut prophecy. So it can be understood that the final KALKI MAHA AVATAR will have his abode on the outskirts of River Tamiraparnee, which is in Tamil Nadu.
According to Hindus, it is said that Lord Vishnu came to earth many times as a human being for restoring the balance between the good and evil. It is said that Lord Vishnu has already incarnated in the earth about twenty-five times and Lord Kalki will be the last and final incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
Hindus depicted the picture of Lord Vishnu as reclining on a large snake bed in the Cosmos Ocean where he is in deep meditative sleep along with Lakshmi who is offering her service to the Lord Vishnu.
Apart from that in the portrait of Lord Vishnu, it is seen that a lotus blossomed from the belly of Lord Vishnu and gave birth to Lord Brahma. In the portrait, it is also seen that Lord Brahma who has created the world is paying his respect to the Lord Vishnu.
But the appearance of Kalki Avatar of Lord Vishnu is believed to be the Lord of the universe and in Hinduism, the picture of Lord Kalki is portrayed as the Lord is riding on his horse Devadatta with a sword in his hand. This appearance of Lord Kalki is found in the Srimad Bhagavatam.
In this article, we will come up with some interesting facts about the Kalki avatar of Lord Vishnu which are hardly known to the people.
It is said in the Srimad Bhagavatam that during the end of the Kali-yuga the incarnation or avatar of Lord Vishnu will arrive on the Earth. In Hinduism, it is believed that there are four yugas namely Satya Yuga, Treta Yuga, Dvapara Yuga, and Kali Yuga. These four cycles rotate just like our calendar months.
It is said that the present age is the Kali Yuga and it will last for 432000 years. It is believed that we have already passed 5000 years from the battle of Kurukshetra. That means there are still 427000 years left and it is said in Srimad Bhagavatam the Lord Kalki will arrive at the end of the Kali-yuga.
It is also said that the father of Lord Kalki would be Visnu Yasa. His father would be a learned Brahmana. In Srimad Bhagavatam, it is said that Lord Kalki will appear in the home of Visnu Yasa.
As per Vedic civilization, it was said that Lord Vishnu was once cursed by saint Bhrigu. It was said that Asuras once took the shelter in the ashram of Maharishi Bhrigu. One day when Sukracharya and Maharishi Bhrigu was at his ashram the Devtas and Indra took the chance to attack the Asuras who were unarmed at that time.
The Asuras escaped and ran to the wife of sage Bhrigu for shelter whose name was Kavyamata. During that time, Kavyamata immobilized Indra with the help of her Yogic powers and thus she could safeguard the Ashuras.
Indra and other Devtas immediately went to Lord Vishnu for his help. Later, Lord Vishnu used his Sudarshana Chakra cut down the head of Kavyamata for saving asuras and immobilising Indra and other devatas.
When sage Bhrigu returned and saw the devastating condition of his wife he got very furious on Lord Vishnu and cursed him that he will bear on the earth for several times and suffer the pain of the death of near and dear ones.
It is due to this curse of Maharishi Bhrigu Lord Vishnu had to appear on Earth again and again and whenever he arrives on the earth he destroys the evil on the earth. It is believed that Lord Vishnu will appear for the last time as Lord Kalki during the end of Kali-yuga when evil will be rampant upon the earth and will restore peacefulness by killing all evils.
Nostradamus was a great astrologer and whatever he had predicted has always become true. According to his prediction, it was found that a person will bear with immense power will bear in the world whose holy day will be Thursday and he will rule in the whole world on both land and sea.
He will be the only person who will free the world from all trouble. According to Nostradamus this great person will come down from his throne and will move through the sea and air for striking the evil ones with his rod.
As per Srimad Bhagavatam, Lord Kalki has many similarities about what Nostradamus had predicted. It is believed in Hindu religion that when Lord Kalki will appear he will destroy his enemies with his weapon.
It is said that the main mission of Lord Kalki to appear on the earth would be to destroy Koli which would signify an evil person. The main motive of Lord Kalki would be to destroy all barbarians and thieves from the earth and make the earth peaceful place to live in.
Apart from that, it is also said that Lord Kalki would defeat the Kings called to Koli and hand over the rule to Devapi and Maru the religious king of Koli yugas.
In the Kalki Purana, Kalki is born into the family of Kushma and Madan,in a village called Shambala on the thirteenth day during the fortnight of the waxing moon.
“When evil is rampant upon this Earth, I will take birth in the family of a virtuous man, and assume a human body to restore tranquility by the extermination of all evils. For the preservation of rectitude and morality, I will assume an inconceivable human form. In the Kali age of sin, I will assume an avatar that is dark in color. Great intelligence and great energy will be possessed by this avatar.” are the words stated by Lord Vishnu in Mahabharata.
An avatar is a concept in Hinduism that, means appearance or incarnation of a deity on Earth. Hinduism states Lord Brahma as the creator of the universe. Lord Shiva is the destroyer while Lord Vishnu is the protector and preserver of the universe. His role is to restore the balance between good and evil. To maintain this balance, Lord Vishnu takes birth on Earth many times. He took various incarnations in certain yugas which include Matsya, Kurma, Varaha, Narasimha, Vamana, Parshurama, Rama, Krishna and the last and most devastating is Kalki avatar. All avatars have appeared except Kalki, which will appear at the end of Kali Yuga. In order to restore cosmic order, he will descend on the Earth in Kalki avatar. Lord Kalki will eradicate evil and revive dharma, marking the end of Kali Yuga and the beginning of Satya Yuga.
Just before the Kali Yuga, sage Markandeya had a conversation with God which is inscribed in Mahabharata. According to the text in Mahabharata, Lord Vishnu spoke of time during the darkest periods of Iron age when human values would deteriorate completely and falsehood would triumph over the truth. Lord Vishnu further addresses how he would take a human birth in order to intervene and set the world on a new course.
Kalki Purana describes the birth predictions of Lord Kalki as well. Kalki Purana is an ancient Indian scripture that describes the circumstances and birthplace of Kalki. It also describes the predominant signs of the times which become so dire and needful. These signs will compel the Lord Vishnu to take birth in the form of human incarnation.
The birth of Kalki has been predicted by various religious texts for thousands of years however has the time of incarnation arrived or has the incarnation already taken place is still the biggest mystery. Nostradamus, a great astrologer, has predicted that the savior of the world will be born on Thursday.
The Hindu Purana also states he will be born on the 12th day after the full moon of Hindu month Baisakhi, just a few years ago the end of Kali age. The religious texts state that Kalki avatar of Lord Vishnu will appear in the home of the most eminent Brahmana of Sambhal village, the great soul Vishnuyashya. He will be marrying Padma of Sinhala, commonly known as Sri Lanka.
Puranas describe Lord Kalki as the avatar who rejuvenates existence. He ends the darkest and destructive period to remove Adharma. He is depicted riding on a beautiful white horse, Devdutta, with a fiery sword in His hand, removing the burden of the Earth.
Lord Kalki will eliminate all the evils to end the age of degeneration and restore virtue and world order.
Srimad Bhagavatam describes that He will appear at the conjunction of the two yugas – at the end of Kali-yuga and at the beginning of Satya-yuga. The cycle of the four yugas rotates like twelve months in our calendar. Starting from Satya yuga, Treta yoga, Dvapra yoga, and the last being the Kali-yuga, the darkest of all. By the end of this Kali Yuga, the population of the Earth will be so much reduced to animalism that they will not be able to comprehend what is God or what is spirituality. So, at that time when there are no more religious principles left, there is no other alternative than killing them all.
At that time, Kalki avatar will come with a sword, riding on horseback. He’ll look like a king sent from heaven. Lord Kalki will simply go on killing all the non- religious people and the godless creatures. After the end of Kali-yuga, Satya Yuga, the golden age of truth and righteousness will commence.
The beginning and end dates of the Kali Yuga remain a mystery. Hindu scriptures believe Kali-yuga is a period comprising of 4,32,000 years. Even though only a few thousand years have passed since the beginning of this dark age. Based on a starting year of 3102 BCE and a duration of 432,000 years, Kali Yuga began roughly 5,121 years ago and has 4,26,879 years remaining as of 2020 CE.
Kali affects our moral character. The low level of morality, righteousness, and good traits can be commonly seen today. Nearing the end, the Earth will become a literal hell escape. Murder will be considered excellent and robbery will become a norm. The Earth will become desolate and extreme pain and suffering will grasp humanity. We can see how people’s moral character has decreased over the centuries but the worst is still to be seen.
