An exceptional plan at any time of the year, which combines nature, adventure, culture and the feeling of a rural town. The Urban Center is connected with eleven neighborhoods, completing a unique experience to be with the land. It is a balcony that is growing. We will surely remember these locations.

Here is our proposal.

Friday will be Friday afterOON.

5:00 p.m. The Aia Sheep game is played by Ardi jolasa.

Making the first contact with Aia is a great idea. The whole family can enjoy the fun things the municipality has to offer. A board like the game of the goose but on a large scale, with personalized squares that represent the various local heritage, historical figures, culture, sports, etc., is next to the pediment.

We want you to be the file that knows everything about Aia. Who will win?

A cultural and historical tour.

Let's visit the streets with the most history of the town to learn about the historical heritage. The visit will begin in the square.

Most of the lintels of the main doors of the oldest civil buildings were built in the 18th century. The old pharmacy is located at the entrance to the square and there are large windows on the main faade. The current parish of San Esteban was built in the 16th century on the foundations of a Gothic temple and was completed in the 1750s. We can see a tunnel next to the apse of the church that leads to the rear of the church, which has a balcony that overlooks Mount Hernio. The home of the sacristans and the home of the seoras was to the right of the first building.

The house of Juan Fermin de Gilisagasti "Gilisasteniea" was built in the 17th century and the remains of some decorative paintings were preserved until the building was restored. Gilisagasti was sent to the Netherlands to learn how to make large anchors, he adapted Dutch welding systems to traditional techniques, and he was able to produce high-quality anchor. Thanks to this work, the Gipuzkoan ancone sector was able to have great growth and export part of its production to other countries.

One of the main forges is located in Santio-Erreka.

The hermitage of Nuestra Seora de Aizpea can be found at the end of the old road. There is a sculpture of the Virgin Mary in the main altarpiece. According to popular tradition, if you put your head in the hole next to the altar, you will not have headaches.

Next to the Aia wall, if we continue walking towards Aizpea street, we will see. The Agerre farmhouse is a great place to start the climb.

The classic climb is 1.3 km long and has a drop of 200 m; it has an average slope of 14.5% and the hardest is 28%. In recent years, they have decided to include this section in professional cycling races.

We go along Mahastisoro street.

We are going to stand in front of the Humilladero. There are crosses of Jesus. The building was moved from its original place by numbering the arches' stones.

6:30 p.m.

The sun is setting and the sea is looking at the sea.

We will walk to the hill of the cemetery from the humilladero. It is a circular route that is accessible.

It has the best views of the mountains and the sea, and you can see Mount Ernio, the city of Donostia-San Sebastin, Orio, and Zarautz.

The sea goes into the mountains. It's perfect for taking photos at sunset. A wonderful moment.

8:00 p.m.

Dinner.

We will go to the Arruti bar-restaurant, a place where you can find homemade dishes made with local products, such as meat soup, lamb, and chicken. A delicious delicacy.

We begin the day with a visit to the Conjunto.

The Agorregi Forge and four mills are located in the heart of the Pagoeta Natural Park, close to the Iturraran farmhouse, and are part of the Ferro Molinero complex.

The iron manufacturing industry was recreated in the complex. The huge hammer that hits the metal and the huge bellows that fan the fire can be seen in action. The system of water tanks is very original and effective.

Guided tours can be held on a variety of days.

The movie "Errementari: the blacksmith and the devil" has a fact for the most movie buffs.

5:00 p.m. A horse is riding.

We will meet our new friends at the Agorregi equestrian center.

The humilladero protects a path that used to be of great importance.

From the Bizkar farmhouse, we have amazing views of the archaeological area.

There is a sports exhibition in the rural area.

After the ride, it's time to enjoy rural sports.

The Izeta cider house is in the Urdaneta neighborhood. There, the family itself, José Ramn Iruretagoiena "izeta II" and his grandson, will give us a rural sport demonstration. Do you think you can do it?

8:00 p.m. Dinner at a cider house.

After the show of strength, we will end the day with a typical cider house menu: cod omelette, scrambled eggs with mushrooms, grilled fish and meat, accompanied by cider made in the cider house itself.

Sunday morning.

10:00 a.m. Nature is in its purest form.

The Pagoeta Natural Park is the best way to get to know a place. An area with flora and fauna.

A natural enclave with an ideal habitat. The park has 2860 hectares.

We will climb to the top of Hernio-Txiki first. Farmers carry out a procession to the crosses on May 15 to ask for protection for their crops and animals.

The route goes up to the cross.

We will be able to rest in the fields, and we may have company.

We will go down the PR-GI 4002 until we reach the town. There is a yew tree that is over 200 years old, 3.5 meters in diameter and 17 meters high hidden in a forest near the route. It's worth it to hug him.

We will pass by a burial mound before reaching Arreta.

We will have time to regain strength once we arrive at the town.

A guided tour of the winery is offered.

The last day in Aia will be the same as the txakoli. A quality wine with a unique character that is inspired by the environment. We will do a guided tour of the vineyards of the winery. The visit will end with a tasting of local products.
