Where is italy located in world map?

You can find Italy in the south of Europe. It is very easy to spot on a world map. It has a very famous shape, like a big boot. This boot shape juts out into the Mediterranean Sea. So it is a peninsula.

In the north, it shares land borders with France, Switzerland, Austria, and Slovenia. The big islands of Sicily and Sardinia are part of Italy too. It's a beautiful country, and not too far from us here in England! It's one of the most recognisable countries because of its shape.
