Why insectivorous plants are called partial heterotrophs?

These plants lead a double life. They make their own food through photosynthesis, so they are autotrophs. But they also trap and digest insects to get key nutrients, like nitrogen, that are missing from their soil. This nutrient-gathering makes them partially heterotrophic. It's a clever survival strategy.
