How do you handle it when your partner has very different hobbies?

My wife and I are total opposites when it comes to hobbies. She loves painting, I love football. At first it caused distance, but then we decided to dedicate “solo hobby time” and also “shared hobby time.” Solo time lets us recharge individually, and shared time keeps us connected.

For me, different hobbies are not a problem, they are actually interesting. I see it as a chance to learn something new. I don’t need to love their hobby, but I can support it. At the same time, I keep doing what I enjoy. Balance is key.
