In the weeks to come, DAZN will carry fights from top-ranked boxers including Canelo Alvarez taking on Avni Yildirim on February 27 as well as future bouts from fighters like Gennady “GGG” Golovkin, Andy Ruiz, Anthony Joshua and more.

DAZN is a sports streaming service that caters to boxing and MMA fans, but it isn’t made available through your local cable TV provider. Cable and satellite packages from companies like Comcast/Xfinity, Verizon, Frontier and DirecTV don’t offer DAZN because the service is a direct-to-consumer platform, which helps keep the cost lower. DAZN is very similar to ESPN Plus.

While DAZN does give you access to a sizable selection of live games from pro and college sports, the service is limited to the events they have the rights to, so it won’t get you every pay-per-view boxing or MMA event that’s out there. Before you sign up for a DAZN package, you need to know more about what they offer, what events they will have now and down the road and then what streaming package is right for you.

DAZN is great if you like watching a lot of live sports including boxing, soccer, top Bellator fights and other mixed martial arts events and a whole lot of original programming such as past fights and profiles on fighters like Oscar De La Hoya, Floyd Mayweather Jr., Manny Pacquiao and several others. DAZN is like a sort of on demand sports streaming service that broadcasts live fights from from around the globe including worldwide tournaments like the World Boxing Super Series Bantamweight, Cruiserweight and Super Lightweight tournaments.

DAZN costs $24.99/month (you can cancel at any time, so if you wanted to sign up to watch just one boxing match or event, you’d only be charged for one month and could watch other fights and programming until your 30 days expire). You can also purchase the service at a discount if you buy a year-long subscription for $224.99. So, for under $25 you can try it out for a month and see if it works for you, or just wait until the platform has something you want to watch and give it a shot then.

Some high-interest fights and other events that are streamed on DAZN will also have an additional PPV package cost. To have access to that pay per view package, a customer will also have to buy at least a one-month subscription to DAZN before paying a set one-time price for the PPV package. For example, Gervonta “Tank” Davis will fight Ryan Garcia in the most anticipated fight of 2023. To watch that fight on DAZN, you will have to buy a one-month subscription to DAZN ($24.99) and then purchase the separate PPV package for that fight ($60) for a total cost of $84.99.

DAZN is not a TV channel, so you will have to access it through the DAZN app, or through a browser on your computer. If you have a smart TV that is hooked up to wifi, or connected to the internet with an ethernet cable, you should have no problem downloading the DAZN app. If you don’t have a smart TV, but do have a streaming device, you can get DAZN by adding the app to any of the following streaming devices that you currently use to watch TV and movies:

You can also watch DAZN by using the app on your desktop computer, or with your internet browser by visiting DAZN.com.

What makes DAZN so attractive to cable subscribers and cord-cutters alike is the ease with which a viewer can tailor the service to meet their needs, be it for one fight or through an annual subscription. For example, If you are a boxing fan who never tires of watching fights no matter the fighters, you’ll have countless options to watch throughout the year. Either way, you only had to pay $20 to watch the fight you couldn’t miss instead of having to go through the rigamarole of finding a bootleg live stream on some sketchy website rife with pesky popup ads and grainy quality.

What is DAZN?

DAZN, which is pronounced “da zone”, is a sports streaming service that looks to reach the most avid combat sports enthusiast or the casual fan who likes to tune in for a few games. It isn’t available through local cable TV providers, which helps keep the cost lower. DAZN is a lot like ESPN Plus.

DAZN provides access to a ton of live games from pro and college sports, but the selection is limited to events it has the rights to. That means subscribers won’t be able to get every pay-per-view boxing or MMA event that’s on the books.

So how much does it cost?

DAZN costs $19.99 a month or it can be purchased at a discount if subscribers choose a year-long commitment for $99.99. So, for under $20 fans can try it out for a month and see if it’s a fit, or just wait until the platform has a marquee event that can’t be missed.

It can be canceled at any time, so if you wanted to sign up to watch just one boxing match or event, you’d only be charged for one month and could watch other fights and programming until your 30 days expire.

What does DAZN include?

DAZN is a good option for those who like watching a lot of live sports like boxing, soccer, top Bellator fights and other mixed martial arts events. it also has a lot of original programming like past fights and profiles on fighters like Oscar De La Hoya, Floyd Mayweather Jr., Manny Pacquiao and plenty of other stars.

It also broadcasts live fights from around the world like the World Boxing Super Series Bantamweight, Cruiserweight and Super Lightweight tournaments.

Some upcoming fights include: Srisaket Sor Rungvisai versus Kwanthai Sithmorseng on March 12, Lawrence Okolie vs. Krzysztof Glowacki on March 20 and Conor Benn will face Samuel Vargas on April 9.

Can I get DAZN TV on my TV, or is it just on phones and computers?

DAZN is not a TV channel, so the only way to access it is through the DAZN app on a tablet or phone. It can also be viewed on a smart TV that is hooked up to the internet, fans can watch the content by downloading the DAZN app.

It can also be viewed using a streaming device like:

You can also watch DAZN by using the app on your desktop computer, or with your internet browser by visiting DAZN.com.

Is DAZN TV worth the money?

What makes DAZN a good option for both cable subscribers and cord-cutters is how subscribers can tailor the service to their liking. They can choose to watch just one fight or commit to an annual subscription. So a boxing fan can watch a number of fights and they’ll have countless options to watch throughout the year for less than $20 per month or cheaper if an annual subscription is chosen.

When it comes to following your favorite fighters or boxers, the fights typically come at a large Pay-per-view (PPV) cost. A DAZN subscription helps with that cost and offers viewers so much more.

DAZN (pronounced da-zone) is a sports streaming service that finds most of its coverage within boxing and mixed martial arts action. At $19.99 per month, combat sports fans can enjoy a cheaper alternative than $80 PPV events each weekend.

Though DAZN finds its primary audience in combat sports, the service also covers various soccer leagues, extreme sports, billiards, and even eSports. That said, if you’re someone who wants to watch more obscure sports along with boxing and MMA, a DAZN subscription could be just what you need.

Whenever I subscribe to a new streaming service, I scroll through the menus and navigate the interface to familiarize myself with the platform. While the interface isn’t the flashiest like Prime Video or Netflix, the organization of the content makes it easy to find what you’re looking for.

From the main screen, there are pages you can click on, like Home, Schedule, and Sports. Although the page options aren’t abundant on its main screen, the simplicity of the layout makes the user experience a tad bit easier. But, included in the main content on the page, you’ll find categories like what’s playing now, what events are coming up, and DAZN original shows.

Although I found the layout straightforward, and my experience of navigating the page was practically seamless on my laptop, it was a bit harder to do on a Fire Stick. Just note that streaming sticks may need some updates to the application design.

DAZN offers two payment plans — monthly and yearly — for its service, and both give you the same options. The content doesn’t vary drastically among different sports, as boxing and mixed martial arts are the service’s specialty. But, in addition to fighting, DAZN offers coverage of eSports, darts, soccer, and extreme sports within the U.S.

Unlike a streaming platform like ESPN Plus or FloSports, with loads of events on any given day, DAZN lacks a lot of live coverage due to the small number of sports it covers. On the other hand, it does have live channels like Red Bull TV and Unbeaten.

The lack of live coverage can be a major downside, especially with the higher price tag DAZN carries, but the good news is all events covered on DAZN can be viewed on-demand. In addition, if you miss a punch, kick, or knockout while watching a fight, you can rewind and watch it one more time within the broadcast.

With a DAZN subscription, you can’t record or download your events to watch later or where there isn’t service. However, you can watch the replay of your favorite events from the on-demand selection. Unfortunately, the replays of events last only one month before they expire from the service.

When testing out this service to review, I received an error message when attempting to access highlights of a fight from the week prior. But after a quick refresh of the page, I was able to watch the video without any further interruptions.

When using this service to watch the two live channels DAZN offers, my viewing experience was perfect. However, this may vary based on the quality of your internet connection. While viewing the live channels, the only option you have to change the quality is the volume slider in the bottom left of the screen.

When it came to streaming replays and on-demand content, once the show or event loaded, the quality was clear without interruptions from buffering. But, while you can stream content on-demand in 1080p, the live broadcasts of events are streamed only in 720p.

Unlike many streaming platforms today, you can’t create multiple profiles on a DAZN account. But DAZN allows for five devices to be connected to an account, and up to two concurrent streams are allowed. There is practically no customization available with a DAZN account, making it a very straightforward process to watch your content.

When it comes to the security of your account, DAZN makes sure nobody can access your account with an email verification that must take place to remove a red “Unverified” box from the account settings on the website. Additionally, you can change your password from the same account settings page, making security a top priority on this service.

A DAZN subscription wouldn’t be a purchase on the horizon for someone like myself who’s a fan of multiple sports but not really into boxing. Though the service has high-quality fight coverage, the lack of other sports coverage is a mark missed by DAZN that could help the service capture a wider subscriber base.

On a brighter note, MMA and boxing PPVs can get expensive if you are constantly watching fights. As the annual subscription to DAZN costs $149.99, if you watch two or more fights in a year, the service practically pays for itself since you get to avoid the additional cost of a subscription each time. Keep in mind, though, the fights on DAZN often feature lesser-known fighters.

Our verdict: 2.5 out of 5 stars

DAZN is unique when it comes to sports streaming because it’s one of the few major services that really has its niche — boxing and MMA. That said, if you aren’t a fan of boxing or MMA, it’s likely your favorite sports won’t be broadcasted on DAZN. Because so few sports are covered, the amount of content you get for the price you pay just isn’t ideal unless you’re a big fan of PPV content.

ESPN Plus blows DAZN out of the water when it comes to the content-to-price ratio. In addition, an ESPN Plus subscription gets you access to various UFC PPV events at $74.99 per event.

Subscribing to DAZN is very simple. In fact, it takes only five steps. Always remember to check the website’s subscription details, as DAZN automatically charges your card to renew the subscription.

The process of canceling your DAZN subscription is just as simple as the sign-up process.

Which is better? A well know giant that ESPN+ is or perhaps the Netflix of live sports, DAZN? In this ESPN+ VS DAZN battle, we are going through all the key reasons for why one of these might be better for you, and how to make them work for you even if you are in an unsupported country.

We all know how big college sports are in the US, and when it comes to college sports, ESPN+ is the absolute best with a large variety of games ranging from women’s football to American football. Most importantly, unlike on some college streams, on ESPN+, you aren’t just getting a live stream. You are getting world-class commentary and camera people that actually know what they are doing.

In the battle of ESPN+ VS DAZN, if you are wondering which is better as far as college sports, ESPN+ is your only option. DAZN doesn’t focus on college sports at all.

We’ve spent the last few days trying to find out which platform is better as far as content and the truth is that neither is better.

If you are looking to watch the likes of Ligue 1, Premier League, Serie A, or the Champions League, DAZN offers all of that on its Canadian service. At the same time, ESPN+ does also offer the likes of Serie A or Champions League on their platform too, while also having a variety of unique leagues such as Swedish Allsvenskan, Chinese Super League, and the Dutch Eredivisie.

ESPN+ has also been offering full coverage of the FIBA World Cup in basketball while also showing some great international events such as the U-19 Futsal Championships. Meanwhile, DAZN offers a great selection of boxing fights bringing a major refreshment to the discipline of boxing. ESPN+? It’s focusing a lot on UFC.

And that’s why it’s hard to choose which is better as far as professional events. Both offer an incredible amount of events for just a fraction of a TV subscription, and both also have some unique content that the other platform doesn’t. ESPN+ VS DAZN as far as professional sports? Perhaps you should just get both.

American DAZN only offers fighting sports which makes the service in the US limited. Sports lovers often love a variety of disciplines and not necessarily just one sport. ESPN+ in the US provides a bunch of everything. DAZN in the US just provides fighting sports.

That’s where PrivateVPN comes in though as a service that allows you to connect to Canadian DAZN which does offer far more than just fighting with some of the best leagues in the world available on it.

What’s PrivateVPN? It’s a VPN service that allows you to connect to a different region in the world, virtually. In this instance, you can be in Canada to watch Canadian DAZN. Or...to watch Italian DAZN as we also support it.

We have some guides about how to set up DAZN on our blog if you are in the wrong location.

ESPN+ VS DAZN? When it comes to availability, both are limited. ESPN+? It’s like Hulu meaning it’s only available in the US. DAZN? It’s more like Netflix. Available worldwide, but with limited content in certain countries.

DAZN? It will work in Austria, Brazil, Canada, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, or the US.

But what if you don’t live in the US, or live in a location that supports the likes of DAZN but aren’t satisfied with the content DAZN offers in your location?

That’s where PrivateVPN comes in.

With PrivateVPN you can connect to ESPN+ outside of the US while also being able to access Canadian, Italian, and American DAZN, regardless of where you are in the world.

Like we already mentioned, PrivateVPN is a service that allows you to connect to a different region in the world and supports both ESPN+ and DAZN as well as Hulu and many other well-known platforms.

Feel like it will slow down your connection to the point that you won’t be able to watch live streams? We focus on quality over quantity; hence why we have working servers for these platforms in the first place, but also for why you won’t notice speeds that don’t allow for streaming. Don’t believe us? We don’t expect you. Try out our 7-day risk-free trial to see for yourself.

While both offer incredible content, ESPN+ is around half the price of DAZN. With that said, DAZN is still relatively cheap at just $9.99 per month...if you pay for the entire year. Otherwise, it’s $19.99.

Which one is worth it for you? It depends on the exact content you want. Our suggestion is to try out both and then decide based on that. DAZN offers a 30-day free-trial meanwhile ESPN is only $4.99 at the end of the day.

A very important aspect is the ease of access, and if you don’t live in a supported country, that’s something really worth investigating. ESPN+ is ultimately easier to sign up for.

To settle this ESPN+ VS DAZN battle neither is better.

Both are doing an incredible job in the sports streaming industry, and it’s best that you try out both because both are worth it.

And if you currently can’t try them out due to your location, on our site, we have guides around how to make both ESPN+ and DAZN work if you do happen to be in unsupported locations.
