which adcs scale the best?
Some champions in League of Legends are just flat-out stronger than others.
For the marksmen and markswomen of League, there are several types of champions to play. There are attack-speed-focused hyper carries like Jinx and Tristana, and then there are the face-melting high early damage carries like Draven and Jhin. Fortunately for players, the ADC meta in Patch 13.5 allows players to choose whichever one suits their tastes because all the marksmen champions are mostly viable right now.
This list of top-tier champions can change depending on a number of factors. Sometimes the meta shifts for no apparent reason other than players’ tastes, but usually, there’s some kind of balance adjustment behind those changes. It can be difficult to keep up with the flavor-of-the-month champs, so let us do that for you.
Here are our top ADCs for League’s Patch 13.8.
Welcome to the League of Draven. The Glorious Executioner is back at the top of the ADC tier list, smashing bot lane with his spinning axes. Ever since Riot introduced the ADC buffs and item changes, he has been quite popular, and the current Patch 13.4 is no exception.
Despite being one of the toughest champions to master in the entire game, he’s sitting at a 9 percent pick rate. Having said that, his ban rate is even more astonishing: a whopping 45 percent ban rate at platinum Elo and above (according to U.GG), with the ban rate rising up to 73 percent at master and above. If that doesn’t prove his power…
Draven hasn’t been heavily changed throughout the years. Since his release in 2012, the Glorious Executioner has always been an auto-attack-dependent champion. In the end, his entire kit revolves around his Spinning Axes (Q) that are so powerful they can cut through the toughest bruisers and tanks.
To further empower his strengths, the best keystone rune for Draven is Lethal Tempo from the Precision tree, which increases the champion’s attack speed. Not only that, but it can also enhance his attack range when it’s fully stacking, as well as exceed the 2.5 attack speed limit.
While the main keystone rune has remained the same for the last few seasons, there is a new set of minor runes that has been rising up in popularity. In the second row of the Precision tree, Draven can choose any of the three available runes. Overheal grants an extra shield that protects him, while Triumph gives additional gold that can further fuel Draven’s snowball. Lastly, Presence of Mind can be great for early-game trading when he struggles with his mana pool. Overall, players have started running Overheal more often, but all three runes work: choose according to your needs or playstyle.
The other two runes are Legend: Bloodline for extra lifesteal, and Last Stand to increase his damage while low on health.
In the second tree, contrary to lots of other ADCs, players shouldn’t be looking for extra resources and utility from the Inspiration tree. Therefore, go for Eyeball Collection and Treasure Hunter from the Domination suit to enhance Draven’s snowball potential. Despite the nerfs to Treasure Hunter in this patch, Draven is one of the few champions that still want to run this rune.
On Draven, there’s really only one sensible way to prioritize your abilities: R>Q>W>E. Your Spinning Axe (Q) is your main tool to deal damage, clear waves, and handle skirmishes that come both in the early- and mid-game. Afterward, there’s really no point in lowering the cooldown of Stand Aside (E), which is just a useful tool to run away. So once you reach level nine and can start maximizing your second ability, pick Blood Rush (W), which gives Draven movement and attack speed.
As Draven, you have enormous trading potential from level one. Therefore, if you’re in a favorable matchup, you shouldn’t hesitate to engage in two-vs-two duels, especially if your jungler comes down to lend you a hand. With Draven’s passive, which grants you stacks of Adoration with every Spinning Axe caught and minion killed, you always want to make sure you can cash out a few stacks to build a gold lead. If you manage to do so consistently, you will be miles ahead of anyone else.
But with every pro, there comes a con. Draven is a powerful champion who can slice through enemy tanks as easily as he cuts through squishy opponents. The price for his massive damage is his low mobility and sustain. Despite having Blood Rush, which grants him a small boost in movement speed, he doesn’t have any other defensive tools, making him easy prey for enemy assassins and fighters.
Therefore, you should always stand by your support or tank, who can delay enemies’ attacks and dives targeted at you. This way, you will be able to stay alive and have an impact on many late-game teamfights. Last but not least, don’t forget that you have a brilliant finisher in the form of your Whirling Death, but you can also use it as a poking device before a battle starts.
Last year, Jinx was considered the No. 1 ADC at the start of the season, which forced the balance team to nerf her. One year later, Riot decided to push her back into the meta once again, with some major buffs to her abilities. Paired with the ADC crit item changes introduced a while ago, she is ready to take over the solo queue ladder with her rockets.
Jinx’s rune setup hasn’t changed a bit from last time, so let’s just take a quick look at them. For the main tree, you have Precision with Lethal Tempo, Presence of Mind, Legend: Bloodline, and Coup de Grace. This is the best mix that grants extra mana, lifesteal, and higher damage when killing low-health targets. Coup de Grace, in particular, works well once Jinx gets a reset and the attack speed boost that increases her DPS.
When it comes to the secondary rune tree, choose Sorcery and go for Absolute Focus and Gathering Storm. The first increases the initial damage at the start of the fight, and also increases Jinx’s poke damage coming from her W (as long as she has more than 70 percent health). Gathering Storm, on the other hand, further boosts her late-game power, adding more attack damage the longer the game lasts.
Jinx’s build is the traditional ADC crit damage build. Kraken Slayer and Infinity Edge are the two core items, followed by Rapid Firecannon (or Phantom Dancer). Round off the build with two items among Lord Dominik’s Regard, Bloodthirster, and Guardian Angel, depending on whether you want more offensive or defensive stats.
Ability priority
Jinx has only one max order: R>Q>W>E. Switcheroo! (Q) is her most important ability since it gives her more damage output on both the minigun and rockets. Zap! (W) got stronger so it’s definitely worth maxing it right after to take advantage of the increased slow.
Just like most crit-based ADCs, Jinx’s DPS goes up exponentially once she can get her hands on the items. Being a hyper-carry, she gets stronger and stronger for every full item she purchases.
Her first real spike comes in when she buys Infinity Edge: you will notice an evident increase in damage output, so focus on farming and make sure to get that item spike as soon as possible. If you have good trading opportunities, you can go for kills. That said, don’t be greedy or over-aggressive, especially if there’s a high risk it can backfire hard. Play it slowly and you’ll eventually win with teamfights anyway. Be aware of your positioning and understand which targets to focus on: getting a takedown is all you need to start your one-vs-nine show.
Twitch is one of the strongest AD carries of the new season. While he always found himself on the cusp of being an S-tier marksman, he never found a way to promote himself up into top-tier territory.
Even though Twitch received changes at the start of the season, it was specifically to nerf his AP version which was considered oppressive in the support role. His AD version, instead, has been untouched and with other marksmen getting nerfed, he’s slowly rising back up again.
Just like most ADCs, Twitch relies on his auto attacks to deal damage. Now the AP build is no longer meta, Twitch is going for Lethal Tempo once again as the main keystone rune. It grants him a great boost of attack speed that is strong both during early game skirmishes, as well as during teamfights.
For the other runes of the Precision tree, opt for Presence of Mind, Legend: Alacrity, and Coup de Grace. Legend: Alacrity is self-explanatory since it grants additional attack speed. Presence of Mind grants additional mana and allows Twitch to keep fighting without worrying about running out of mana. Coup de Grace works better than Last Stand (in most scenarios) because Twitch can quickly shred through multiple targets with his ultimate and bring them below the 40 percent threshold to proc the rune.
The secondary tree for Twitch is Domination, with Taste of Blood and Treasure Hunter as the filler runes. The first gives extra sustain to survive the weak laning phase, while Treasure Hunter accelerates his core items purchases.
Item-wise, we mentioned how Twitch is now going for the crit build again. That said, his core item is Blade of the Ruined King, which grants him lifesteal to sustain and survive the early game. Following that, he rushes the Mythic item Kraken Slayer to get a good second item spike.
Twitch is a hypercarry champion which means that he spikes the more Legendary items he purchases. Runaan’s Hurricane greatly increases his DPS with the item’s passive; Lord Dominik’s Regard is the perfect item against tanks while Infinity Edge allows his crits to shred the opponents in a matter of seconds. Since Twitch is usually picked with an enchanter, he doesn’t necessarily need a defensive item. If you’re still looking for some extra resistances, however, Guardian Angel is a great item to survive incoming assassins or burst damage.
When you’re playing Twitch, you should go for R>E>Q>W in terms of ability priority. Contaminate (E) is the main ability Twitch uses during his trades for additional damage. Ambush is mostly used to quickly reposition himself or attempt surprise attacks after exiting invisibility; it’s maxed second because of the increased attack speed bonus. Max Venom Cask since it’s only used to apply the slow and additional Deadly Venom stacks.
While Twitch is one of the strongest late-game ADCs, his early game is weak and sub-par compared to most marksmen. For this reason, the main goal when playing Twitch is to survive the early game and keep up with the enemy opponents in farm. Even if you drop a few CS, it’s not an issue as long as the enemies don’t snowball out of control.
Once you get to your item spikes, you will become the main damage dealer of your team. Use Ambush (Q) to find the right position to use your auto attacks empowered by your ultimate. If you manage to do that, you will be able to win most of your team fights. To become a strong Twitch player, learning to do quick attack move animations is key to getting maximum damage output while also dodging enemies’ spells.
Xayah is the hidden pick of the patch. With other ADCs likely getting banned often, she will emerge as one of the strongest picks that can be played in champ select.
The fact that she can now build Navori Quicklblade as a second item and take advantage of its passive has pushed her into S-tier territory. That said, she is not as straightforward to play as other champs in this list.
Xayah’s main keystone rune is Lethal Tempo: just like most marksmen, attack speed is an indispensable stat for her. In the late-game teamfights, the attack speed bonus can amount to hundreds of additional damage to enemy champions.
For the remaining runes, go for Presence of Mind, Legend: Bloodline, and Cut Down. While the first two are standard runes, Xayah is the only champion that goes for Cut Down. This is because she doesn’t need extra damage to kill squishy champions but wants the extra damage against tanks.
When it comes to filler runes, choose Magical Footwear and Biscuit Delivery. The first saves her 300 gold, allowing her to use those resources to rush the two core items. Biscuit Delivery, on the other hand, grants extra mana and health to survive the early laning phase.
We mentioned how Xayah wants to build Navori Quickblade. Before that, however, Xayah needs Galeforce: she can use it to dodge spells or put herself in a better position to cast Bladecaller (E). Once you get these two core items, you usually want to get both Phantom Dancer or Bloodthirster for a higher amount of crit chance (remember that Navori increases abilities’ damage based on crit). To close off the build, get Lord Dominik’s Regards for maximum damage output or Guardian Angel for the revive passive.
Ability priority
On Xayah, there is only one ability order: R>E>W>Q. Bladecaller (E) is Xayah’s main damage source that allows her to also root champions. Deadly Plumage (W) gives her a substantial attack speed and movement speed bonus to kite or chase after enemies. Since Double Daggers (Q) only reduces the ability’s cooldown by half a second per level, max it last.
Xayah has to wait until the two core items are completed to start dealing consistent damage. Before that, she is likely going to get out damaged by other ADCs. Therefore, her main focus is ensuring she gets farm and the resources needed to reach the crucial two-item spike.
Avoid fighting during the first levels and don’t greed for minions if you’re vulnerable to ganks. While you have the ultimate to save you from an engage or a lethal ability, don’t think you can get away with it every time.
Once you have the E fully maxed and you complete the Navori purchase, you can start playing more aggressively and carry the teamfights. Try to find narrow spaces so that enemies cannot dodge your feathers. Use your spells to get place them on the Rift and wait for the right moment to use Bladecaller (E) to finish off as many enemies as possible.
Among all the AD marksmen there is a new magic damage dealer who is getting more and more popular: Karthus. With Veigar receiving nerfs in this patch, Karthus is the new No. 1 mage played in the bot lane.
Not only does the champion perform well across different roles (bot and jungle) but he’s one of the best carries you can play in solo queue thanks to his almost game-breaking AoE ultimate. As long as you’re able to farm minions and kills, you will become a one-shot machine.
The rune setup for bot lane Karthus is similar to the jungle version. That said, there are some minor adjustments. The main keystone rune is still Dark Harvest since it stacks infinitely and can be easily proc’d with the amount of damage the champion offers. It’s weaker early on, but it will get stronger the longer the game goes on.
Taste of Blood, Eyeball Collection, and Ultimate Hunter are the minor runes from the Domination tree. This is the optimal combination of runes to ensure Karthus can have extra sustain but also have better stats when picking up kills and starting to snowball.
For the secondary tree, instead, choose Precision with Presence of Mind and Last Stand. The first grants him extra mana when trading and restoring mana when getting takedowns, while Last Stand synergizes with Karthus’ passive, as he will be dealing a lot of extra damage (11 percent).
When it comes to his build, Karthus builds Liandry’s Anguish as his Mythic item followed by Rabadon’s Deathcap and Sorcerer’s Shoes to make a good trio of core items. To deal damage as Karthus, you need to get as much ability power as possible, so that is why Rabadon comes in as a second item.
The rest of the build is made by Zhonya’s Hourglass, Void Staff, and Morellonomicon. You can swap out the last one for Rylai’s Crystal Scepter or Demonic Embrace if you want more tankiness rather than the anti-healing effect.
When playing Karthus, you should always prioritize R>Q>E>W. Lay Waste (Q) is Karthus’ main ability which he spams to farm minions and deal damage to the enemies. Max Defile (E) second to get higher mana refunds upon killing enemy targets, while also getting some extra AoE damage around him. Since Wall of Pain has a flat cooldown and it only increases the amount of slow when leveling the ability, max it last.
Game plan
As Karthus, your goal is to deal as much damage as possible. This can be done in two ways: hit an incredible amount of Qs and/or build more ability power to increase the damage from each cast.
Trade aggressively early on to proc Dark Harvest and look for potential kills. This should be easy to do if you are able to hit Lay Waste consistently. Thanks to the amount of damage Karthus has, the enemy bot laner won’t be able to trade back. Even if you die, it’s always worth it since your goal is to reach your core items and get ability power for the mid-game.
Once you get the core items, you will be dominating the teamfights: just make sure to dish out as much damage as possible and pick up all the kills and assists possible with the ultimate. The best way to do this is to group up around objectives and have your allies start the fights. Once the enemies are low, just Requiem and enjoy the show.
Ezreal has been a weak pick this season so far. That said, the abundance of hyper carries have allowed him to rise as a perfect counter, especially during the laning phase. Thanks to his long-range abilities, he can damage the enemy bot laners without getting hit in the process. On top of that, he’s a great pick when you’re looking to get lane priority
Item build
Ezreal has had several different types of rune setups over the past few years. With First Strike getting nerfed, however, he’s been reverting back to Conqueror, the perfect rune for extended teamfights and skirmishes. Presence of Mind, Legend: Bloodline, and Coup de Grace are the minor runes from the Precision tree.
Nevertheless, there are players who still prefer taking Press the Attack over Conqueror. The main difference lies in how aggressively you want to play the game and whether you can take advantage of Press the Attack’s effect in early-game skirmishes. We would choose one or the other depending on the matchups and whether you have a support that allows you to play aggressively (someone like Karma, for example).
The secondary tree for Ezreal is Sorcery, with Manaflow Band and Transcendence as the filler runes. Given that Ezreal now delays his item Muramana purchase, it’s essential to pick up this rune so he doesn’t run out of mana. Transcendence, instead, synergizes perfectly with his kit, further decreasing his cooldowns.
Ezreal’s build changed slightly compared to last season: He now rushes Essence Reaver and Ionian Boots of Lucidity and builds Muramana as the third item. After this trio, you’re looking to pick up Serylda’s Grudge or Duskblade of Draktharr, depending on whether you need lethality or percentage armor penetration. Regardless, you will build both items. Round off the build with Frozen Heart or Ravenous Hydra.
Ability priority
Ezreal has only one max order: R>Q>E>W. Mystic Shot (Q) is his spammable spell and main source of damage, which also allows him to reduce his other abilities’ cooldowns. After that, you want to prioritize Arcane Shift (E) since it’s his main escape and repositioning tool. Max Essence Flux (W) last.
But wait, here comes the 20 min mark and you are no longer progressing. You’ve locked item and is stuck with the stats that you have 5 minutes earlier.
Good thing that you surfaced in this post. Because we will be discussing a list of champions that you might want to try in your next game. Let us get on with it. The top 7 best scaling ADCs in LoL.

There are numerous varieties of champions to play for League marksmen and markswomen. Jinx and Tristana are attack-speed-focused hyper carriers, whereas Draven and Jhin are face-melting high early damage carries.
Fortunately for players, the ADC meta in Patch 12.10 lets them pick whichever one they like because all of the marksmen champions are currently fairly viable and competitive.
Moving on the list. This goes without saying, but this list of top-tier ADCs is subject to change based on a variety of circumstances.
Sometimes the meta varies for no obvious cause other than player preferences, although those shifts are generally accompanied by some form of balance correction. It might be tough to keep up with the flavor-of-the-month champions, but we’ll do it for you.
Kog’Maw is a great ADC who is distinguished by his “late game,” unlike many other champions in this role. Rather, the level of Living Artillery and the ability to destroy adversaries at great range, as well as an attack speed and explosive damage that pulverizes tanks, determine Kog’Maw’s might and presence.
Another good thing about Kog is his Icathian Surprise. Kog’Maw’s passive ability functions as a defense skill, granting him invulnerability for 4 seconds and an additional 40% movement speed.
All of this allows him to pursue his assailant and explode with actual damage ranging from 125 to 550 points. Now that is a crucial thing, especially in clashes.
One of its disadvantages is mobility, and it is a champion who is simple to capture. Unless you go for the enemy’s turret, it is best to keep inside the range of your own.
If you’re in the center of the street, you may go to one side of the river and stay close to that side, forcing them to travel a longer distance before reaching you. Because of its mobility, the champion is prone to ganks and enemy surprises, making it an easy victim.
If you are playing Kog, you must stay behind your tanks or a wall in team engagements. He is undeniably strong and has the capacity to inflict significant damage, but there is a problem: he lacks escape and has low defense.
Kog’Maw is the main aim of the opposing side because of the damage he can inflict, hence defensive equipment is occasionally advised to help you resist the attack a little better.
This champion grows stronger as he travels from level 11 to level 16 because scaling his talents assists him in the late game, and the more he progresses, the better he gets.
Due to its weakness and restricted mobility, it is important to play sensibly, safely, and defensively.
It may throw foes during champion selection because it can be deployed in either lane, and nobody can resist it too much if it exploits its utility properly.
This champ is one of my faves. It requires quite the mastery but is definitely a good champ to play. “The shadows are to be feared.”
That is for sure, especially if you encounter this champ in the lanes and the jungle.
Vayne has been one of the game’s most flashy marksmen since her debut in League of Legends in 2011, especially in the hands of the most gifted players.
This hyper carry can shred down whole team compositions if given enough time to gain goods and scale, whether they’re a tank champion, a squishy champion, or anything in between.
Those who take on the role of the Night Hunter, on the other hand, will have to cope with Vayne-spotting as the game progresses.
If you are into medieval stuff, aside from the gameplay, you might develop a Liking for Vayne.
Because this champ has some of the coolest skins. Vayne, the Night Hunter, has an intriguing and varied selection of skins. Steampunk aristocracy, modern vampire hunters, and other strange and supernatural possibilities are all possible.
Twitch is a hybrid of an AD carry and an assassin. The Plague Rat has a unique combination of skills that allow him to flank adversaries and surprise them with a blast of damage.
Mastering Twitch, on the other hand, necessitates a thorough understanding of location.
When playing Twitch, choose R>E>Q>W to optimize your powers. Contaminate is your primary source of damage outside of auto-attacks, therefore investing in it is critical.
When it comes to the mid-game, you want to start using your kit and potential to surprise the opposing carry, therefore investing points in Ambush as your second skill before your ultimate is also the most logical mechanic.
Twitch shines in the late game, so you can always wait until the 30-minute mark to execute your assassin approach.
There will be times when staying behind your frontline is preferable to making the game-winning move. Dealing damage, poisoning, and remaining alive is sometimes the best strategy. Simply follow through with your tanks and hunt for ambush possibilities.

This might be a questionable choice since some of you play Senna as support. But if you are only to give a shot to Senna as an ADC, you’ll agree with me for putting her on this list.
Senna is capable of serving as both a support and an ADC. When you play her, you have the benefit of a peeling champion and artillery assistance.
She does long-range damage to foes and makes life difficult for them by healing both you and her while hurting them. She scales extremely well, and by the late game, she may be stronger than the ADC she is teamed with.
Senna is an excellent champion for newbie players of League of Legends who enjoys doing a lot of damage while yet playing a safe position.
This being said, any mediocre player may enhance their overall skill and be an asset to their team on Senna by following a few simple guidelines.
Before we get on with this champ, I’d just like to clarify that what I have written here is just my opinion. I am sure you have different opinions from me. Anyways, let’s get on with it.
Kai’Sa, the Daughter of the Void, is one of the most boring and uninspired characters to grace Summoner’s Rift in a long time, as well as being very weak. However, she makes up for it with her other aspects.
Kai’Sa is a champion born of statistics. Her kit isn’t game-changing in the same way that champions like Thresh or Zoe’s strong crowd control and picks potential can easily swing a game.
She’s pretty straightforward in the sense that her powers don’t make or break the game in any manner. She has the potential to be a strong carry, like Vayne, but it all relies on how items and stats work around her.
She, unlike a standard AD Carry, has the ability to build dynamically. She has the option of deviating from the conventional AD items.
If the correct combo is found, she might be a notable and essential champion to use in the bot lane; if not, the jungle or top lane could be her calling.
On paper, Kai’Sa looks to be an AD Carry, yet her kit is better suited to the jungle. She is very unique, and what she lacks in crowd control she makes up for with her shield, which comes with her ultimate ability.
It’s a large shield that may act as a barrier to tank for a short while before spinning and kiting out of the way. She may also be set on a more AP-based path, transforming her W into a devastating weapon capable of poking at her opponents.
As I’ve mentioned earlier, this is just my opinion. However, I will stand still with my pick. I believe in Kaisa’s potential to be a hard carry in the late game as she scales her damage and skills.
You’re free to try her or not. What matters most after all is that you enjoy the game.
If you’ve been playing ADCs for some time, I’m sure we’ll have no disagreements that jinx belongs on this list.
Jinx is the consummate carry, with one of the greatest single target DPS in the game. His early game is weak, but it is improving for the middle game because his terrible games are abundant and he does not have the greatest skills to withstand ganks.
Fortunately, she rewards the player greatly for overcoming these flaws, so dominating Jinx will be well worth your time.
Her ULT is extremely beneficial to the team, which begins to accelerate as it reaches the head of its unsuspecting target.
A Rememortal Remembrance Superhero can do anything, from knocking out a whole squad with a low life during an early combat by the Baron, from the other side of the map, to killing a retreating opponent to score a second additional murder.
If he is a champion and still alive, Jinx’s ULT can reach him when he is.
All in all, Jinx deserves to be on this list because of her speed attacks that escalate with her skills.
She is also a good champ to harass the enemy with the long-range. Plus, she is strong against champions that also belong on this list, like Kog’maw and Twitch.

This dude is broken. I’m telling you, he is just broken. He is probably one of the most complex, if not the most complex, champ in League.
How is he complex? Aphelios has a one-of-a-kind ability kit in which he switches between five distinct weapons, each with its own basic attack and Q ability.
Aphelios is developing a whole new gameplay element in which he holds a weapon in his primary hand while simultaneously carrying an off-hand weapon that he can change with W.
He may select which two weapons he has equipped at any moment and cycle among them. Another element is that each weapon has 50 ammunition (“Moonlight”), and when one runs out, you grab the next weapon in line, while the empty weapon moves to the back of the line to recharge.
I know right, even I don’t really know much of what I’m saying.
I won’t lie, he appears to be one of the more intriguing champions, but I’m not looking forward to ranked queues with him at launch.
I have no doubt that he will completely dominate in the appropriate hands, which I refer to as the professionals.
Well, despite the complexity, this dude is still broken and still deserves to be on this list.
As I’ve mentioned earlier, these champions and their rating, and people’s opinions on them as well, may vary.
One of these aspects that we’ll be looking at in this article is scaling. Every Champion has a certain point in the game when they’ll be the strongest. If this point is the early game – we conclude that the Champion has poor scaling. And if it’s in the late game, they’re a true scaling god.
Longevity decides whether or not a Champion has good scaling, and this list details just that. We’ve compiled a list of the 7 best scaling ADCs in League of Legends, a role well known for this characteristic.
We’ve also covered some other roles, so check out our website for that.
Without further ado, let’s begin!

Vayne is a Champion with an insane late-game that everyone fears. Whenever you see Vayne on the opposing side, you start praying for the game to end before minute 25. If it does, by some misfortune, go on for longer – you are bound to be obliterated by Vayne’s insane scaling and damage.
The word damage is enough to describe everything about her. Unlike other ADCs, Vayne’s kit doesn’t revolve around attacking super-fast or obscene mobility. No, she just likes doing as much damage as humanly possible. Her Q, W, and Ultimate give additional physical and true damage to her attacks.
She will rely on itemization for mobility, attack speed, and critical strikes. With each item, Vayne will reach a new power spike that will strike terror into the enemy’s hearts. Her scaling is focused, therefore, on items. The more farm and XP she gets, the quicker she will snowball.
Her snowball is absolutely insane, making her one of the most potent ADCs in the game. She can singlehandedly turn the match around and wreck you no matter how much HP you have. I genuinely love her both on Bot and Top, and I wholeheartedly recommend her.
Twitch is notoriously known for being the late-game team-sweeper. He can, by himself, kill 5 people in just a few seconds. This is the inevitable reality of his late-game and scaling, which will happen almost no matter what. He’s one of those types of Champions snowballing in any scenario, whether losing or winning.
Twitch starts the game slowly, focusing on the farm and gaining XP. His kit is versatile and has a lot of utility. The Ultimate, however, is reminiscent of Vayne’s kit and adds a ton of extra damage and range to Twitch’s attacks. That Ultimate is the sole reason for his notoriety, as in combination with good items, it becomes a complete disaster for the enemies.
When Twitch gets a few good items, he can just pop the Ultimate and get a Pentakill like it’s nothing. It’s so bad at times that your team won’t even be able to approach Twitch, let alone kill him. I know this sounds exaggerated, but trust me, it’s not. I would genuinely wish for it to be a lie, but the Champion is that insane.
Allowing him to get fed is setting yourself up for a defeat. You’ll have to keep Twitch pinned down and prevent his scaling as much as possible. His having even the slightest possibility of coming back into the game is terrible, and you should fix it immediately. Be it as it may, I recommend Twitch to all ADC players.

Draven is a Champion with an excellent early game apart from being a fantastic scaler. He doesn’t start slow but has a lot of good damage, utility, and mobility from level 3 onwards. His scaling comes from his passive which I will explain shortly. Just remember that Draven is an absolute blast from start to finish.
His passive stacks with each minion he kills. Draven will also get additional stacks every time he catches his Ax. Each of these stacks accounts for extra gold when he kills a Champion, meaning that Draven can get hundreds of bonus gold every time he kills someone. This allows for some quick and easy scaling, as Draven will be ways ahead of his opponents.
Just a few stacked-up kills will have Draven reaching his power spike. He’ll have a mythic before people even complete half of theirs, giving him an insane advantage over everyone. As an ADC, he will embrace that carry part of the role incredibly. He’ll be able to singlehandedly eviscerate people with his Axes without the need of even picking them up.
Kai’Sa is League’s most known and overloaded hyper carry. She can do so much damage and get right up in your face while remaining safe. An exception to the ADC formula, Kai’Sa prioritizes engaging the enemies directly instead of taking cover and attacking from a distance. Though her W has all the range she needs, Kai’Sa still prefers shorter ranged encounters.
Her early game is not that great, and it will be a while before she hits her first power spike. Her abilities can be evolved in a fashion similar to Kha’Zix. However, instead of levels, they require stats – i.e., you’ll have to build items to evolve. At 100 bonus damage, Kai’Sa can upgrade her Q. The W comes at 100 AP, while her E needs 100% attack speed. The Ultimate stays the same.
This makes Kai’Sa a double scaler. She will get stronger and stronger naturally through itemization, while her spells will evolve alongside that. After the first item, Kai’Sa should be nearing her first power spike, and dominance can begin.
Being a hybrid, she can go either AD or AP depending on need or want. Any other Champion scarcely matches such versatility in the game. She’s complex and overloaded and does take some time to get used to. But I highly recommend you play her, as she’s a late-game hyper carry that knows no defeat.

This Tank-shredding voidling is an ADC beast that gets stronger by the minute. Kog’Maw is an infamous hybrid carry that can obliterate people’s health bars with just a few basic attacks. He does start with a slower early game, but man, does he grow by the late game.
Probably reminiscent of the void itself, Kog’s early game is average. He’ll have some damage, mostly coming from his W, but will be immobile and weak. With a few items in the backpack, Kog’Maw becomes a total beast able to beat anyone. However, a good Support is a necessity as Kog’Maw is pretty vulnerable alone.
The vulnerability becomes exaggerated in the late game, and catching him is too easy for comfort. Thus, Kog requires a strong Support or Tank that can protect him during fights since he has no good escape abilities. Unlike the previous entry, who loves getting in people’s faces, Kog appreciates his distance. From there, he can use his insane scaling to wreck any Tank or carry that he sees.
Yasuo? I thought we were discussing ADCs! Oh, right. It’s Season 12, people; calm down – everyone can be an ADC now. Anyhow –
Yasuo is League’s latest ADC meta that has an insane level of playability. Players are going for this pick so much that it’s become an official thing, recommended by the game itself in the Champion select screen. The Bot Lane has for long been a Marksman/Support combination, and that is finally starting to shift.
Yasuo falls into it pretty well, and he can get his scaling quickly through acquiring kills. He will, however, have to trade in his XP for said kills, and he won’t be able to get a level advantage as he usually does. With good Support, Yasuo can rack up many kills early on that can help him end the game sooner.
His snowball will come eventually, no matter what you do about it. All he really needs is an item or two, and that’s it. With that much, he can fight most people who might have 3 or even 4 items on their person. It’s insane how powerful Yasuo can get, especially from the ADC position.
It suits him well, and you should try it out. Just make sure you find someone good at Supporting for some free Elo.

Ezreal is one of the most potent hybrid Champions in League of Legends. He can deal so much damage instantly that he’ll have you wondering where all your HP had gone. Mobile, strong and impressive – Ezreal is truly a godlike Champion.
His early game is fantastic; he has a lot of range and damage to keep him going right off the bat. By level 3, he’ll already have a ton of damage and mobility for safe harassing and fights. This only gets worse (or better) by the minute, and the post-6 period is additionally soul-crushing. His Ultimate is a global ability that hurts like a motherf-er and will see Ezreal hastening his time-to-kill statistics.
As the late game looms on, Ezreal will be a beast capable of shredding through the HP of any Champion. Whether you’re a Tank or a squishy – Ezreal is there to send you to the Shadow Isles with an express ticket. I love Ezreal, and you might think he’s too OP due to the description above.
But there’s a catch. Ezreal is exceptionally challenging to play, requiring a super high skill level. Everything in his kit is a skill shot (and not an easy one). To land them consistently requires a ton of effort and practice, which I think makes him balanced enough.
- Fantastic scaling: kog'maw, jinx, vayne, Tristana, Aphelios, Twitch.
- Great scaling: Kai'Sa, Sivir, Ezreal, Varus, Xayah.
- Decent scaling: Caitlyn, Ashe, Jhin.
- Mediocre scaling: Draven, Lucian, MF.
- Bad scaling: Kalista.

Best Late Game ADCs in League of Legends
We talk about some of these champions in-depth, and you can also find other strong late-game champions in this video!
Vayne is the first ADC people think of when they want a “late game” champion. Why? Because she scales incredibly well throughout the game.
Most people don’t actually realise how good Vayne is in all stages of the game when she is paired with the right Support, but her late game is definitely where she shines. The reason for this is her short cooldown Q which makes her hard to shut down, her W and her build.
Her W is the ultimate tank buster. It deals true damage, enabling her to easily break through the enemy’s health bar. Mix this with the items she will buy and have in the late game, and as long as she can kite and use her Q effectively, she will be a real pain for the enemy.
Tips and Tricks:
Senna may not look like a late game monster as she is pretty good during the laning phase, but there’s one part of her kit that makes her a real machine in the late game.
The more stacks she gets from the drops throughout the game, the stronger she will be. Passively, she can gain tons of the stacks that empower her stats, such as her range, damage and crit.
If Senna is proactive and can pick up a lot of stacks, she will be incredibly obnoxious, and she can quickly kill anyone who oversteps. She can chase players down, blow them up, and keep auto-attacking them with her insane range.
Tips and Tricks:
The next champion on our list is Twitch. Firstly, he is extremely obnxous with his invisibility which allows him to sneak up on enemies. If the enemy isn’t focused, they could get caught out by him.
Twitch can be really strong when paired with a utility Support or someone who enables him, as they empower his autos and damage output. He just needs to stand there and auto-attack and as long as the player can kite, he will be tough to kill.
Teams will also be grouped pretty closely at this stage of the game, so he can melt them down with his Ultimate as it can deal damage to multiple targets at once (he will also build Runnans Hurricane, which lets him auto-attack multiple champions at once.
Tips and Tricks:
Akshan is one of the latest champions to hit summoners rift, but he is definitely a strong late game champion. Firstly, something that players may overlook is his W which can help his team spot and take down targets.
His late game’s damage output and his Q and E chase down potential are obnoxious. He can easily catch players out who are overextended or who do not respect his all-in and chase potential.
What truly makes him shine through is his Passive which could help him bring his whole team back to life if he shuts the right enemy targets down. Imagine the enemy getting four kills, and then you kill the target that got the quadra: your whole team will be revived. This could allow you to get the Baron or Elder Dragon in the late game.
Tips and Tricks:
The final champion on our list is Karthus. There’s a lot that can be said about Karthus, but his kit is great in the late game: and all stages for that matter.
He has very good pick potential with his E, which can help his team catch out too far forward enemies. The fantastic slow it provides can be hard to deal with if you’re immobile and slightly too far forward.
His constant Q spam, his “life after death”, and his Ultimate are all contributing factors to why he is a very annoying and robust late game champion. If you’re fighting Karthus, try to disengage from him and reposition when he dies so he cannot spam you with his Q while in his Passive.
