Will Ghost of Yotei be available on PC, and when?

PC gamers, I feel your pain—Ghost of Yōtei launched today as a PS5 exclusive, just like Tsushima was at first. No official PC date yet from Sony or Nixxes (the port wizards), but based on patterns, expect it late 2026 or early 2027. Remember, Tsushima hit PC after 3.5 years, so we're looking at a similar wait while they polish that ray-traced snow for high-end rigs. Fingers crossed for sooner, maybe with DLSS 3.5 goodies. In the meantime, PS Now/Plus might stream it eventually. Hang tight!

This is the million-dollar question! As of right now, Sucker Punch and Sony have not announced a PC port for Ghost of Yotei. The game is still marketed as a PlayStation 5 exclusive. However, looking at the pattern with other PlayStation exclusives like God of War, Spider-Man, and Ghost of Tsushima, a PC port is very likely – it's just a matter of when. The typical gap has been around 2 to 3 years after the initial PS4/PS5 release. Since Ghost of Yotei launched in late 2023, I'd personally start expecting an announcement maybe in late 2025 for a 2026 release. It's not official, but it's a very safe bet based on Sony's current strategy of expanding their audience. I'd recommend following the official PlayStation and Sucker Punch social media channels for any surprise announcements.

I wouldn’t hold your breath for a Day 1 PC release. Sony’s been experimenting with PC ports, but they always time them after console exclusivity. My guess is yes, it’ll land on PC eventually, but PS5 is where you’ll need to play it first.

I'm in the "waiting for PC" camp myself. It's basically a guarantee at this point, but Sony likes to use these ports to double-dip. They sell to the console audience first, then a few years later they sell again to the PC master race crowd (and get people hyped for a potential sequel). There's no way they're leaving that money on the table. The only question is whether they'll bundle it with all the DLC for a "Complete Edition" on PC, which is what they did with Ghost of Tsushima. So if you're a PC player, stay strong! It's probably coming, but you'll need to be patient. In the meantime, the Digital Foundry video on the PS5 tech is a great look at what we can hopefully expect on PC eventually.

So far, Ghost of Yotei is PS5-exclusive at launch. Sony hasn’t announced an exact PC release date yet, but if history is any guide, their major titles like Horizon, Days Gone, and Ghost of Tsushima came to PC a year or two later. I’d expect Ghost of Yotei to follow that trend, maybe late 2026 or early 2027 for Steam/Epic.

To clarify the current situation: the official word from Sucker Punch and PlayStation is that there is NO confirmed PC release date. The speculation is strong because of the precedent set by games like Horizon and God of War, but you should treat the game as a PS5-only title for the foreseeable future. Any rumor you hear about a 2026 or 2027 release is just a prediction based on business patterns, not an official announcement. For PC players, you just have to wait for an official blog post from PlayStation announcing the port. It'll happen, but likely only after it's had a good, long run as a PS5 console seller.

Right now, Ghost of Yotei is an absolute PS5 exclusive at launch. It was developed by Sucker Punch Productions, which is a PlayStation Studios team, so it’s a major push for the PS5 platform in its current release window. However, based on Sony's recent strategy, it is highly, highly likely that it will eventually come to PC. We saw Ghost of Tsushima make the jump to PC a few years after its PS4/PS5 release, and Sony has been accelerating the PC port schedule for many of their other first-party exclusives. Prediction for the PC release window: If we assume Sony keeps shortening the wait, the earliest we might see a PC port is sometime in late 2027 or early 2028. It's still probably going to be a multi-year gap, but it's almost certainly coming! You'll just have to be very patient or grab a PS5 in the meantime!

Ugh, the eternal question. Right now, it's PS5 only—dropped today, Oct 2, 2025. PC? Speculation city, but insiders are betting on a 2027 release to milk the console exclusivity. Could be sooner if demand's nuts, like with Horizon. For updates, keep an eye on the official site: Sucker Punch News. As a PC player, I'll wait, but damn, those trailers look crisp on my monitor already.

I really hope it does come to PC. The art direction in this game is stunning, and being able to experience it at ultra settings, with higher resolution textures and an uncapped framerate, would be a dream. The combat is so fast and precise that it would feel incredible on a high-refresh-rate monitor. Fingers crossed the rumors are true and we get an announcement sooner rather than later.
