Will there be any further extension of the ITR due date beyond September 16, 2025?

It is possible but rare. Sometimes the government announces another week or 15 days if demand is high. But you should never plan on that. Consider September 16 as your final date.

Most likely, this is the final extension. In recent years, the government has been stricter about not giving multiple extensions. So don’t depend on getting another date, finish your filing before September 16 itself.

Nobody can be 100% sure. Sometimes, the government gives a further extension if technical problems continue or if there is a disaster. But as of now, CBDT has not indicated any more extension. It is safer to file before September 16 rather than wait.
