How many drive modes are expected in Tata Curvv EV?
Tata usually offers 3 drive modes in their EVs – Eco, City, and Sport. I’m guessing the Curvv EV will have the same, maybe with some fine-tuned regen settings as well.
Most likely three. The Nexon EV already has Eco/City/Sport modes, and considering Curvv sits above it, Tata may also add regen control paddles which will act like sub-modes for different driving situations.
Building on the success of the Nexon EV, the Curvv EV is expected to come with multiple drive modes to suit different driving conditions and preferences. We can confidently expect at least three to four modes: City Mode: Optimized for stop-and-go traffic, offering smoother acceleration and maximizing range. Sport Mode: Unleashes the full power of the motor for quicker acceleration and a more responsive throttle. Eco Mode: Maximizes range by limiting power output and optimizing climate control. There might also be a dedicated Highway Mode* or even a customizable one. This is pretty standard for modern EVs and helps get the best balance of performance and efficiency.
Expect three drive modes in the Tata Curvv EV—Eco, City, and Sport—which let you tweak power delivery and regen levels on the fly. Eco sips battery for 500+ km claims, while Sport wakes up the motor for fun runs. Been using mine mostly in City mode around Delhi; smooth and efficient. Ties in nicely with the single-pedal drive option.
I'd bet my money on four modes. It's become a standard marketing feature. The Curvv will need to match or exceed the Nexon EV's offering, which already has these modes. The different modes essentially tweak the motor's power mapping and the regenerative braking strength. It's a great way to tailor the driving feel without any hardware changes.
The Curvv EV's got three solid drive modes: Eco for max range on those long trips, City for zipping through traffic without drama, and Sport that unleashes the full 165PS for overtakes that thrill. Paddle shifters tweak regen too, so it's versatile. I love switching to Sport on empty highways—0-100 in 8.6 secs feels punchy. No more modes announced for 2025, but these cover daily needs perfectly.
