Yes, that is a possibility. India’s roads are already crowded. If lakhs of new buyers enter the market because cars are cheaper, congestion will worsen. Especially in metro cities, parking is already a big problem. Government should balance between encouraging sales and managing traffic.

I don’t think so. The GST cut is not that massive to suddenly double sales. Maybe a 10-15% rise in sales will happen. But India’s population is huge, so cars will keep increasing anyway. GST cut is just one factor.
